loads of empty seats in the Mexico game and even quite a few in Spain v Netherlands- arguably the most attractive game of the first group games.
Very disappointing.
Maybe our friend Mr Blatter should realise that if the World Cup would happen in England you probably would have no empty seats anywhere (or do we need a few huge brown paper bags to have any chance of that)?

Mr Blatter cares very little about the truth. I think you'll find. Except who is paying the biggest back hander.

Werent there loads of empty seats at Euro 96? Yes there were but Euro '96 recorded both the second highest aggregate attendance (1,276,000) in the championship's history, up to this point and the second average per game (41,158) for the revised 16-team format, after Euro 2012. On the other hand, Russia's 3-3 draw with the Czech Republic was watched by only 21,528 at Anfield. This was during the last days of hooliganism however and the outset of the Premiership era - attendances would almost certainly be higher now.

FIFA have generated 2.3 Billion dollars from this world cup. More than enough money to keep Blatter and friends happy for the next four years.
The 13 billion that it has cost Brazil which they will never get back is not a problem for FIFA just the Brazillian government and the people who have ended up paying for it.
FIFA are at this moment like pigs rolling in s**t and don't care about empty seats.
