Have just. come back from the kassam and have to say what a joke the stadium has become. Supposedly 7000 today and half of the refreshment kiosk is closed in the.north stand. The whole match day experience is becoming a farce. Don't think you would find it happening at a wigan warriers home game

A fair comment , but then totally ruined by the Wigan warriors comment. Do the opening of the food areas even have anything to do with il. As it's run by the stadium company.

Interesting that IL was at the game today and not watching Wigan beat St Helen's. Doesn't seem to fit the agenda that he doesn't care about us.

I think we just tend to block all the bad bits out while were winning, after a crap loss everything seems worse

I dashed off for a p*ss immediately the H-T whistle blew and the queue was a mile long in the North Stand concourse. Don't let the 'true supporters' worry you with their bollocks. The matchday experience is important to real people who want a decent afternoon out; and it's just not good enough for the average supporter. The club needs to sort this stuff out.

Just shows what a poor club we've become for putting up with poor facilities when you've paid good money for your ticket. No wonder gates have fallen. Iv been supporting Oxford home and away for 40 years but im really starting to get p*ssed off with attitude of the club towards the fans.

Hold on a minute, if you have been going for 40 years, you will have experienced damn site worse facilities at the manor than the Kass Stad! Some, me included felt the manor was a very special place, the poor facilities and crap food were all part of that special mix. Nothing will change with the facilities at the Kass while we do not own the stadium.

Nothing will change while people are spending their hard earned in buying the crap that is served.
I once went to an establishment called "MacDonalds" and purchased something called a "Big Mac". It was the worst thing I have ever tasted, the texture was awful and the "fries" that accompanied it could have been manufactured from absolutely anything - they were certainly not cut potato. As a consequence, I have never repeated my visit to this particular franchise - in fact I would rather go hungry than do so. However, they seem to be getting by without me, so I assume that others must continue to buy their unedifying product, else they would surely have gone bust by now.
It's the same with Lindley's - I did have a cup of tea from the concession about six or so years ago. It was vile - it could have been mud and water. A friend bought me a green plastic bottle of something that described itself as "Carlsberg" (or possibly "Carling") once - one mouthful was all I needed to know that this beverage should be branded "Not for Human Consumption" in large letters on the label.
Now, like MacDonald’s, the concourses seem to be getting along just fine without me, so others must find them palatable and/or their prices must be rock bottom to get such huge queues each match day.....

I have to say, while queuing at Lindley's for substandard fuel isn't the most pressing problem we currently have at OUFC, it doesn't help the customer experience, and we are the mugs for continuing to buy it. If Lindley's stopped making money from us they'd walk away next time their agreement was up. Maybe we'd get something better, maybe not but it couldn't be any worse, and that's ignoring the "lining Kassam's pocket" issue.
I don't normally spend money with them, but my wife (who somehow enjoyed her first game since Wembley) wanted a tea. I naively asked if I could put my own milk in. The girl serving stared at me as if I'd ordered a well done Romanian orphan as she handed over a "ready milked" container of hot brown liquid with an inexplicable PG Tips logo on the side. Over-priced shit served by uninterested staff. Perfect.

All these problems people are now suddenly experiencing are not new. It has been the same for years. If anything it has improved on past seasons. The one thing that has changed is no Priory and that is what it comes down to. People just notice other things that aren't exactly to their liking on a match day if they haven't had a good catch up with friends before the game and enjoyed a few beers.
Like someone else has said, until we own the stadium there is not much the club can do. With the attendances down then the stadium company will try to save money on staffing. If the North Stand is not that busy then they of course wont open all the kiosks. It is the same in the oxford mail stand when it is a mid week JPT game. They only open one side instead of both.
If it is that much of an issue then take it up with the stadium company. It is them that own the place.

You don't have to use the kiosk, I'm sure Mr Kassam would accept your donation by post.
Try not to use them myself, rarely get good value at a football ground.
But if not getting a bovril is our highest concern then all must be rosy with our season

On friday I had burger and chips from the chip shop between the Blackbird and the ground. Proper chip shop food, far better than anything served inside the ground or from the mobile vans outside it. Better food, and my money not going to Kassam..win/win.

The club needs to put pressure on Kassam to improve the facilities and allow you to improve your matchday experience. It can be done, not sure if it's Lenegans unwillingness or inability to negotiate with him, but LW have managed to negotiate a few things, with regards to matchday, for next season, most of them small but a start. One thing I can divulge though, is that there are plans to do some works on the stadium, in the near future.
