At the next OxVox meeting with IL can the very poor quality of Yellow Player on match days be mentioned. The last two games have been almost impossible to listen to. The sound quality was/is abysmal, with constant stuttering and dropping out, at times it is like listening to a drunken Dalek! Commentary on other club sites is working perfectly!!! Perform Group ARE NOT performing!!!!!!!

Out of interest, HY, are you a member of Oxvox? If so, great. If not, why not stump up a couple of quid for the right to ask the question?
As an exile YP certainly drives me mental - had to listen to the Mansfield drivel commentary as I can't cope with "jjgjgjgjgjgjgjgjgjgjgjgjgjgj" at midnight.

I'm an OxVox member, and I second HY's request! I'm almost as annoyed by "Perform" Group's consistent responses that the problem will be resolved "shortly" by some idiot named "Guru" when the problem has been apparent from Saturday afternoon until Tuesday night. It was awful listening to those clowns on the Newport site, but still that was better than trying to listen to out site.

Had same issue myself last night. Will raise it with the club.

I am sure Hamworthy is a long-time member. I am assuming I know who he is....
Anyway....it is a good point because I too have suffered the same. I didn't even bother to listen to YP last night because after the Exeter YP - where it cut off, buffered, went missing for 10 minutes, it became pointless.
We will raise it as many people are suffering.

In response to chuckbert, I was a founder member of OxVox and I am still a member. I have raised this issue on behalf of exiles, many of whom like myself rely on the match day commentary.

No Club meeting planned with IL at the moment. So it needs to be addressed before that - we are speaking to the club every other day so this issue will be raised with them in the next 24 hours. I only experienced it and heard about it being a universal issue during that Exeter game - not being an IT-phobe I thought at the time it was my laptop or a one-off.

Yup HY. Worked who you are by now. Any other Us out there annoyed by YP should jump on the oxvox bandwagon.

Why the triplicate reply chuckbert? (Edit - ah only one now!)
I'm also thinking of starting an on-line petition to pass onto IL

Yeah - the irony was large. Unlike yellowplayer I managed to fix it rapidly.

I am also an Oxvox member and experience the same poor quality yellow player service. As an exile I also rely on YP on match day , but have been forced to listen the other teams player which works fine, By it 's not what I pay for. I am considering not renewing my subscription due to the poor quality, which means a little less revenue for the club.

How great that you were one of the founder members of OxVox...I bet our friend "Guru" hasn't joined!

I have forwarded these concerns to the club who are escalating it.

I'm an Oxvox member-for-life and have just signed the petition. But I have a question that is bugging me. If I wish to resign from Oxvox how does a member-for-life (pensioner) go about it. I can't just stop paying a subscription. Do I have to start pushing up daises? Seems very draconian to me.

I have also signed HY's online petition and fully support this action. Thank you HY for doing this.

I have forwarded these concerns to the club who are escalating it. Given the amount of comment to Chris Williams on this topic I would be bloody disappointed if they have only seen fit to escalate it now!!

I noticed that Chris Williams said both in Yellow Player's Burton match preview and in Saturday's programme that the problems with the match commentaries have been fixed. Excellent news if that's the case.

I still haven't heard back from them regarding my complaint after experiencing problems over a 3 game period when everybody had the same problems. This was the 3rd time this season that i have had a reason to complain about the poor service that we received. Maybe because i received a free months service after the 1st time i complained just before Christmas, that they haven't offered me another months service free of charge
Be interesting to know how many of those that complained about the service, received the offer of a free months service Is their any body else still waiting to hear?

I've been offered a month free after one complaint. Moderator's advantage?
But my complaint was very strong but polite.

I also complained - about the reception in the Exeter away game, I think. I didn't receive any response.
In addition I sent a long email to Ian Lenagan about the problems that a friend of mine and I have encountered with the service over recent months (I use it far less than my friend does, because I go to more games).
I didn't receive any acknowledgement of that either, which didn't really surprise me.

I received a free month's subscription late last year. I complained again about recent issues to Perform Group who kept trying to claim it wasn't their fault to which I pointed out, several times, that it is them I pay to receive YP. I am now waiting for a cheque, to cover a months subscription, to arrive in the post as further compensation. Experience says you have to keep bothering them in a polite but forceful manner. Ignore the fact that the customer services email address says 'don't reply to this address'. Every time I have responded to it Ruth or Guru reply.
