Gary Mills could be worth a shout for the way he has got Gateshead playing some great football.

Martin Allen - Thought I heard Radio Oxford say that he was at the Charlton game and managed to fall out with some of the OUFC staff! I heard that too. Hopefully they can kiss and make up (or maybe it was tongue in cheek) Think you will find that the ref to falling out with OUFC staff was the fact that it was Martin Allen who clattered Rosie and the injury kept him out of the milk cup final

Martin Allen - My personal favourite, has won this League and seems like a competent manager but the football might not be attacking enough for some Sean O'Driscoll - Did well at Doncaster, I think won this League, but hasn't really done much in his 3 jobs since then Paolo di Canio - Won League 2, but with our fiercest rivals and on an astronomical budget. Could be seen as an impact manager, but many disagree with his fascism, and he failed at Sunderland Graham Turner - Promoted from this League with Shrewsbury and has spent donkey's years in the game. Will he have the drive to do it, though? Gary Waddock - Another to be promoted from this league, currently coaching at MK Dons You can think of the rest yourselves Your comment on Sean O'driscoll very unfair his last 3 jobs where 1. Doncaster where I thought he did brilliant to keep then in the championship for so long as they were punching above the weight, 2. Forest they were in the playoffs when they decided to sack him "forest owner thought they should of been running away with the championship" #clueless chairman 3. Bristol City is the one he did fail at I thought they would have been in the auto/playoff this season. I think he would be the best man for the job

Richard Money has Cambridge United 2nd in the Conference Premier, 1 point behind Luton Town with a game in hand. That is good, but what is better, and what a lot of people who disliked Wilder will absolutely love, is that he has won every single home League game this season. Played 12, won 12. If we could attract him I think a few fans would be happy, looking at his record The bloke is a arsehole take that from me I'm not going to go into much detail as i could be a massive paragraph

If Mickey Lewis is given the job for the rest of the season as IL is in "no rush", then we'll be lucky to avoid relegation IMHO. Yes, do the proper interviews and all that but get someone proper in ASAP please.
Personal choice would be O'Driscoll, purely because he has the nous to get us out of this division.
For a mental, back pages of the newspapers, Ramon Diaz style appointment you would have to go for Di Canio though...

What's Magilton up to these days?
On a serious note:-
Lenagan should hand over the management to members of this forum.
So many experts on here we'd walk this league.

I'd rather have di canio than Steve Evans, Miley Lewis or Andy melville lol I'd relish the madness, come on there'd never be a dull moment. Thank fully I suspect IL is far more sensible than that!

I could not give a shit about someone's political views. Success for OUFC would outstrip that. IL has already shown that he won't put up with a Manager who throws his toys out of the pram when they don't get what they want so do you really think he will go down that route? Is success on the field and ignore the your only concern? I suppose being a Man U fan you have been conditioned to thinking that throwing more money than most other club's means success. We are in a league where half a dozen clubs don't have many times the budget of the majority so play in their own little sub-league. When Scumdon were promoted they were in their own little financial league of one! Do you really want us to become "Di Canio's xxxxxx United?"

Neil Warnock should be in the frame but DiCanio shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the club

I'd consider:
Sean O'Driscoll, Paul Tisdale, Justin Edinburgh, Gary Mills (possibly)
Definitely not for me:
PDC, Owen Coyle, Martin Keown, Gary Waddock,Martin Allen, Martin Ling, Alan Knill, Adrian Boothroyd, Kevin Blackwell, Steve Tilson, Jim Magilton, Steve Burr, Michael Duberry, Mickey Lewis….

Not saying this discounts him but it's not startling

I want to throw this one into the mix. He would have to be coaxed out of retirement for four months, but when I talked to him once he seemed to know an awful lot, and be very interesting and very inspiring.

If we can get him, Paul Tisdale for me. Young, may be looking for a new challenge, knows the division, has Exeter playing some great stuff and is happy to bring through the youth. Fits the bill exactly for me.

Look, I'm ITK, and IL told me last week that his preferred appointment would be Billy Turley. He'd bring in his own assistant, big Phil the Power.

Don't see the point in picking someone as a short term appointment. Go out and get the long term man now. He's picking up a team that are sixth in a very tight league (fair enough, we probably won't be sixth when the new manager does come in), but there's no reason he can't push us on this year. It will also give him plenty of time to assess what's what in time for next season.
