We are speaking to the club about the ticket prices. Two words should be used when contacting the club JL (RIP OFF).

Twenty's plenty. It's under twenty.
Season ticket holders get a good enough deal anyway, they should be grateful they get the chance to see a Championship level side in a proper cup competition for under £20.

We are speaking to the club about the ticket prices. No offence but as i stated earlier surely somebody realised there might just be a replay and therefore gave some serious consideration to pricing. forearmed is forewarned and all that.

Banbury to Kassam, then after to Wantage and back to Banbury. I can't be bothered at those prices (and after the last few home performances).

Charlton's inability to get the game on meant that the Youth FA Cup game scheduled for the replay date has to be moved to Didcot. This would have been a bumper crowd at the Kassam at £5 / £3, whereas I doubt many are interested in going to Didcot Town. So this has already cost the club money in lower sales for the youth game plus the cost of using Didcot Town.
I am sure someone at the club has worked out the revenues of charging full prices / discounted with the expected crowds at varying price levels.
Can someone remind me which cup game was discounted this year? Was it Pompey in the Trophy or Gateshead in the FA Cup? what were the crowds please? and how does that compare with previous home cup games?

Slappy pitches for marketing genius job.
Sub 2,000 at £19 each.......
5,000+ at £10.....
£`s total isn`t much different.....something called "Goodwill" (recently lacking) would go a long way.

There won't be many day trippers there, or even regulars, judging by this thread.
At least the East Stand will be happy.

I think it extremely unlikely that there will be a difference of 3K due to the price difference. My guess is maybe 3,000 at £17 (before the day). I would be extremely surprised if there are less than 2,000 there. 4,000 at £10 (would be different if it was half term) Whichever way you dress it up it isn't that an attractive game and I can't see many more than 4,000 turning up regardless of the price. Could be wrong though ... Oh and I am not arguing for the same prices. Like many I think that a goodwill gesture to the fans would be in order after the last few home performances. If I am right with the above though and a £0.5M loss likely, then maybe I can understand.

With usual league prices being imposed for an unattractive replay, it'll be a crowd of around 1,500! ..... another 'own goal' by the commercial department
We are being taken for granted by the current administration

Here is a suggestion - if you are truly put off attending the replay by the cost of the tickets, why not spend your money on a trip to Didcot the following day to watch the U18s play in the FA youth Cup against Cardiff - I'm sure they will appreciate your support.....and you'll get a glimpse of what the future holds for OUFC

Might be unpopular for saying this but I can't see why the club would (or should) drop prices for this game.
I'm pretty sure they'd take a financial hit by slashing the income they get from the tickets - and for a game like this I doubt the extra people lured in by a cheap ticket would make up the gap.

Tuesday night, unspectacular opposition, currently poor at home - and we charge full price!
A total nonsense. It could seriously be a sub 2,000 crowd which will be really embarrassing.
Anyone know what the lowest attendance for a fixture featuring Oxford at the Kassam Stadium is? I'd imagine it would be some FA Cup 4th round qualifying, FA Trophy or JPT match.

How much does goodwill cost? I would've liked to have seen the club say 'give what you want, minimum price is £1'.

Bloody hell the FA Cup is in trouble.
Weren't there around 2000 home supporters for a JP Trophy home game against Pompey?
So some on here are suggesting that there will be a sub 2000 crowd for the 3RD ROUND of the FA CUP? I think that is nonsense myself and there will be at least 3000 there (surely there will be what 400-500 Charlton fans?)
Charlton may not be a great attraction but they are 2 Divisions higher than us in the 'greatest cup in the world'? Maybe Lambert is right and the FA Cup is on it's last legs.

This is a masterstroke, think about it..........
No day trippers, no moaners, no one there that is only there because they have already paid for the season ticket. These are the people that create an atmosphere that makes it impossible for our players to perform. It will be like an away game when only the hard core die hards attend meaning an atmosphere that our players excell in and progress to the 4th round is guarenteed!!!

We got as low as 1508 for the FA Trophy home game against Tonbridge. Think that's the record. We never actually had a home time in the Setanta Shield otherwise that might have broken the three figures.......

That was very early in the season... before a large number of regular home fans had been bored rigid by home performances. It was also against Portsmouth.

Or realise this is an extra game for everyone= extra outlay, your opponents dropped their prices and do something for your owns fans to entice them along especially when the dull negative football witnessed to date is already putting people off. it's called looking after your customers not taking them for granted.

Maybe a very modest drop in prices might be in order, but this is the third round of the FA CUP not the Sherpa Van Trophy. £10 across the board doesn't make financial sense for the club - in my book. If we play like we did last night - (and why can't we ?), then it will be good value whatever price is charged.
This talk of a 2,000 crowd for the game is so much horse s*** - we got 3,000 plus for Gateshead! I reckon we'll get 500 + Charlton alone - the 92 club brigade will be keen to add a new ground. I'd love to see 7K at the game but realistically the club should expect c4K
Moving on, I'll tell you what most tarnished the lustre of the Cup; that decision of Man U to boycott it in 2000 in favour of the World Club Championship. Man U should have ben banned from the competition for 5 years for doing that.
