I'm not going today after seeing one of the worst run of results I can remember. We have won every league game I've missed. Hopefully my non attendance will see us win. please stay away.

Fantastic - could have been anywhere between 2nd and 11th, so 3rd is pretty damn good....

Kitson deservedly MoTM with Beano a close second. First clean sheet at home and 3rd in the league plus only two points off 1st place. Good draw between Chesterfield and Fleetwood.

Well done Wilder. Decided to change it and it came off.
The second half was a bit of a non event but the first half was really good. We kept the ball well and made a mockery of their hoof ball. The first goal was brilliant, I can't remember the last time I got a rush of excitement celebrating a goal at home.

What a weekend of great sport England win 4-1 Cardinals win in the 13th inning after an epic game 3-2, in the 1st game of the NLCS Oxford playing well at home, Beano scores to take the lead, Beano wins a penalty and Danny Rose scores a 2nd Can't wait for the Cardinals to take on the Dodgers in game 2 of the NLCS tonight(at least it starts earlier today 9pm our time) Come On Oxford Let's go Cards How did you become a Cardinals fan? In 2002 i toured around the states by train. While in Memphis my hotel overlooked the Memphis Redbirds Stadium. Was due to travel on to New Orleans but was advised to change my plans due to a Hurricane about to hit that area. Having read up about St Louis i decided to go their. While their i did the whole tourist thing, and just walked into the Baseball stadium without any prior knowledge of the game or the lay out of the ground. I was stopped by a groundsman and after i explained that i was from England, i was taken to the seats behind the catchers plate and ask to wait. A few minutes later a member of staff showed up and took me on a tour of the stadium telling about the history of the club and the basic rules of the game, the tour took me right to the top level of the stands, i also stood on the pitchers mound, the catchers plate and the home dugouts, something very few local people never get to do. Once the tour was finished i was shown into the club shop and met a former player. So that's how i became a Cardinals fan and have followed them ever since.

Without wanting to put a downer on it, this was a result against a pretty lousy Northampton side who have been suffering a long hangover after their play-off final defeat. I can't imagine that Boothroyd will be hanging around much longer if they continue this poor spell.
But ... these are the sort of games we ought to be putting away and that we did. A clean sheet, a two goal lead that wasn't squandered, CW got the tactics spot on, a goal each for two in form players and a favourable result between Fleetwood and Chesterfield meant that we're still within touching distance of the top.
We've got another lowly opponent in Bristol Rovers next up. Another clinical display against them would be great as we'll need every bit of confidence for the Exeter game.

How nice to come home from the match and not feel grumpy...reminds me of the old joke about 7 Dwarfs in a bath all felt Happy,so Happy got out and they all felt Grumpy. Good game, good performance, good feeling.

Just seen the challenge for the pen, looked outside and even less contact than I originally thought! Bad decision from the ref! Never mind!

I believe I'm right in thinking that's the 3rd penalty we've had in the 4 home games against them since our return to the football league. Plus they had one which Akinfenwa missed. So this game seems a pretty safe bet for a pen!
