One question for Mr Wilder would be - Why wasn't O'Dowda given the green light to start, and surely he would of thrived in this kind of game. He didn't do much wrong at the Valley.

Always worry about this game, we may not take it seriously as a derby but they aren't as offhand about it. We should win, but I expect it to be tight and scrappy and we may be happy with a point come five o'clock

That was truly dire. Couldn't pass wind. Need to be a lot better than that. Unrecognisable from Pompey. But still top. Bodes well.

Hunt needs to shape up, cost us so far to much already this season Morgan is an utter t*at but was a proper handful today Wilder got it badly wrong today, from the formation, to the players picked and didn't change it when it clearly wasn't working
Still though, top of the league and showed real grit to get a point today.

Apart from bringing Kitson on you mean? Bad starting line-up, but we dominated the second half. A poor defensive mistake really cost us, as did a tired Alfie from being played in an ineffective position. We should have won today, and had we started with a line-up using wingers I suspect we would. Still, this was bound to happen at some point and, unlike you would expect last season, we scraped a point. Negatives include no creativity without choice wingers/forwards, Hunt's defensive abilities and bad team choice, positives include Mullins (again), Kitson (again) and improved grit. Hopefully we will see Alfie used as a winger from the start next match.

If Wycombe had not time wasted so much, it's unlikely we'd have had time to equalise. They should have no complaints because ultimately it was self inflicted. Ainsworth won't see it that way, but if you are going to time waste, you need to balance it out so you don't pee of the Ref.
Morgan is a moron for his booking. He didn't need to do it after he'd had his moment a few minutes earlier. It's a shame he is wasting his talent because he is a such a petulant turd.
Wilder got the team wrong first half. It was pedestrian and Constable was lost us front on his own. We hardly made an impact on the game other than hoofing it a lot.

I did think it was a penalty. Stupidly soft, but it was one. Hunt didn't need to make that challenge

First of all I'd like to apologise to the man in S87 as I spilt Dr Pepper on his back when my bottle fizzed up uncontrollably
Secondly I'd like to apologise to the small child situated in around U90 who had to hear the word "c*nt" on numerous occasions
So, what can I say, we got lucky today
We concede just before half time to the c*nt himself, Dean Morgan. Honestly I was unsure to whether the man was offside, can anybody clear that up?
We then come back out with a new spark, lighting the crowd up and the boys started going, not sure whether Alfie's was a red but hey, you can't complain.. We then got lucky as hell on that free kick but that "technique" that he's been practising must be working.
Stupid, stupid challenge from Hunty to bring down Morgan and then we go back down to 2-1
We played hoof ball for most of the game, we decided we wanted 2 men on every corner and we kept playing shitty free kicks, f*cking keep it simple!
Johnny Mullins equaliser was quality and sent the crowd into ecstasy, love it!
Think I was one of the only people in the Oxford Mail who thought Dean Morgan should've been sent off for a second yellow after making a challenge on Kitson, similar to one Kitson was booked for earlier in the game
Also Wilder, learn who the f*ck your wingers are, Asa Hall and Scotty Davies aren't.

Def wrong team selection but hopefully a lesson learnt
We looked better as soon as kitson came on
Newey didn't have a good game at all

F*ck I missed that was in kitchen making tea. Thank god for Mullins! We are so shakey at home, and are much stronger away. Its been that way for as long as I can remember. Oxford home fans are merciless and unforgiving of their team, get on their back at the smallest chance. I remember one bald guy about 15 years ago in Osler Road used to just scream at the team for almost the full 90 minutes. But when I've been away, the fans get behind the team much more. The solution? Only admit those who went to the last away match to home games .

Really poor performance from both teams. We were very lucky to get anything from the game.
Danny Rose about the only player to come away with any credit.
The full backs Hunt and Newey were truly awful, as was Ryan Williams.
Why Wilder didn't start with Kitson seems very strange, and for the umpteenth time, Alfie is not a striker.

I can only assume that Kitson was deemed not up to 90 minutes due to whatever injury he is carrying. Wilder has tried this staggered forward line a couple of times in pre-season (using Hall) but don't remember it being that successful then so coupled with yesterday hopefully we've seen the back of that one for a while.

Having just watched the goals, Morgan was onside, definite red for the elbow and definite penalty. It wasn't the right team selection, I see why he started with hall but u can't have 4 central midfielders. Perhaps this was because of smalleys injury but still wrong for me. With regards to the home fans getting on players bucks, I don't think it's too much to ask for the manager to pick a positive line up and for the players to make simple passes. We got a point at the end of the day, but 2 lost for me.

Having just watched the goals, Morgan was onside, definite red for the elbow and definite penalty. Yes, all those were pretty clear looking at the footage. Maybe D'urso and the little lino didn't deserve as much abuse as we gave them... I wonder if Ainsworth still thinks it was a shoulder challenge, or if he will be man enough to admit he was wrong and that it definitely deserved a red card.
