After a really good start from the Yellow Army, with displays by the Ultras, and fantastic support at Portsmouth and at home against Bury, it made me think about the many times that Oxford United fans have made a game something to remember.
What would be your choice, to go in The Yellow Army Hall of Fame?
The game that really stands out for me, is Crewe away in 96. The team coach arrived around 1.30pm, and as they walked into the stadium, the players looked at the away end, to see it already full, and everyone singing. It was a big game, and we made it something special.

2 stand out for me. Leicester City away in the 90s, a game we won 3-2 with a late strike. There was just something about the support that day, the travelling support were really up for it, great vocal support. We went 1-0 down just before half-time to a dubious penalty, but the support was notched up a level and 2 quick goals gave us a 2-1 lead early in the second half. Leicester, who were flying high in the league at the time, thought they had got a point when equalising with about 5mins to go, only for Alex Dyer to pop up and score the winner in around the 88th minute. Amazing game, and amazing support.
The second was a home game shortly before we got relegated to the conference, I think it was against Northampton (I'm sure someone will correct me). We were all pretty despondent with things around the club at the time, and it wasn't helped with a limp performance, and then going 1-0 down in the second half. Then from seemingly nowhere, the East Stand just went nuts, everyone up and cheering, chanting, making loads of noise, and it worked, the team managed to up their game and snatch an unlikely equaliser.

On a slightly different note, does anyone else remember the 'noise meter' that was installed at The Manor for the FA Cup game against Chelsea? I seem to remember it was on the floodlight pylon at the LRT/ORT corner of the pitch...

Burton away in the first year of Wilder's tenure. I remember being amazed at all the work that had gone into the banners and displays by a new generation of fan. I hadn't seen anything like it at an English game before.
Great support, great game and a result that kept our dream if the playoffs alive.
