I'll test my luck and start the ball rolling for tonight's match.
Not sure of the result, heart of course says win 0-1 but head says loss 2-0. Who to believe?

I am gutted I can't make tonight. My life as a family man rules me out.
I will be listening, and think we can win it. 2-0

Difficult to see which way this one is likely go, we're expected to make some changes to the team from Saturday's triumph over Pompey, and they will be pondering whether to do the same after a poor start. I would guess the nucleus of both teams will be the same as started on Saturday, Charlton have to be favourites and will have been 'alerted' to our potential after Saturday. I'd be happy at this moment in time to see the lads put in a solid performance- and come away with a clean bill of health, anything more would be a bonus. Don't want a replay, prefer us to give all our efforts and attention to the League tbh.

Tonight is one of the few occasions I won't be on the matchday thread this season. The Valley is only 4 miles from where I live.
Only a fiver to get in and a pensioners bus pass to get me there. Life is bunch of roses.
Can't help feeling it is going to be a bit of a let down after the tremendous atmosphere generated on Saturday. That was something special.
Where were you on Saturday anyway Malc.

Don't want a replay, prefer us to give all our efforts and attention to the League tbh. The League Cup doesn't have replays at this stage. It'll be settled on the night. Funnily enough our only 'win' at The Valley in all competitions was the win on penalties in the same competition nearly 11 years ago. We've never won in open play there. I think Charlton will have a point to prove to Chris Powell, so I'm going with 3-0 to them. I'd love to see us nail a win there and get a tasty Prem side away to bolster the coffers, but I just can't see this one being as 'winnable' as others are making out. Here's hoping though and it will be interesting to see the side that Wilder puts out.

Where were you on Saturday anyway Malc? I have one of those wives who does not understand the importance of Saturday afternoon, even after all these years. So she made a date with friends to come to us for a meal. I did manage to follow events on Twitter, so as the match progressed I just go friendlier and friendlier.

How serious is a rib injury anyway? Would think he would be fit for Saturday if it is only minor.

Apparently Kitson was battered every time he got close to the ball on Saturday...not surprised his ribs are sore! Just so long as he's ready to bury Bury.

In this day and age you really would think women would understand their role in life....and one of them is f*cking off out on a Saturday!....my first one did 30 years ago. aint seen here since!!
