Another poor home performance by the sound of it. Just how many chances do we need to score a 'kin goal.

Rubbish. None of the strikers are good enough.

We've not done well at home against midtable sides (lost to Fleetwood, Bradford, Dagenham & Bristol - only draws against York, Aldershot & Torquay) so I fear the worst, especially with Morecambe, Wycombe & Rochdale still to visit! So heart says that we can put that trend right by winning these games, starting today, but head isn't so sure, so I'm going for a 1-2, sorry! Sorry, but another home loss against mid-table opposition - what is it? Over-confidence, Expectation, who knows, but that is what will have done for us this season if we don't make it!

Like's been said on radio we battered them 1st 2nd, we went backwards, why didn't it spur us on to a higher gear?

Christ, the way Wilder was banging on you'd think it was like that Barcelona Celtic game. The second half was bloody awful. The first half was better, but not a deserving of a "5-1". Shut up Wilder and get out of this club. Rant over!

Like's been said on radio we battered them 1st 2nd, we went backwards, why didn't it spur us on to a higher gear? We changed our style 2nd half. Why? We put countless balls into the box 1st half, hardly none 2nd? Why's that?

And when those balls were being pinged at chesterfield they were all over the place... Chesterfield got wise to it. They sat deeper and stopped the space appearing behind their back line. Beano still found ample opportunities to be offside in it though. It really wasn't an enjoyable game at all.

We also stopped attempting them. Numerous times we had the chance, all we did was another square pass after another square pass...

Unbelievable ! Why couldn't we take our chances in the first half ? Wilder was wrong - we didn't deserve to be 5-1 up by half time, but we sure as hell should have been. At least twice the ball was totally dead and about a foot from the line, but nobody had the gumption to take advantage. Yet another 45 minutes of frustration, the second half felt like a foregone conclusion.
Ah well that must be the end season, lets hope we do better next season.

that's the first game ive been to since November last year. cobblers at home, and apart from the result it was like de ja vue. we could and should've been in front at half time all be it giving them a gift of a goal. we played reasonably well apart from not hitting the back of the net. well what can you say about the second half, really dire to watch. I sat in the south upper and the view is great to watch our non existent midfield. also watch the players visibly fade ( jake wright and wingy excepted)the players would need to be absolutely top notch fit to play on that pudding of a pitch. they faded against Northampton back in November and they faded again today. that tells me that our team isn't as fit as they should be. this has been a problem for a few seasons now. all very well doing it for 45 mins. needs to be stamina fit for 90+ and we aren't. I will be at sixfields next week heres hoping for 3 points.

Crowd were awful today. First half there was noise and positivity. Second half, it was quiet. Lots of unnecessary moaning, lots of whinging.
I thought Chesterfield were a bunch of twats as well. If you are injured on the floor about to substituted, it's quite Lazarus like to get off the floor and get into a spat. The whole outfit reminded me of some of the tin pot nonsense we saw in the Conference.
