Wholesale changes are needed in the summer, the big earners have to go smalley and dubes etc !!

We're probably only 1 or 2 players away from a really good side, but that's always the case. The squad needs more depth and until that happens, injuries will keep costing us.
Difficult to point out exactly who's fault that is, especially as there's some debate about whether the manager actually signs players, but everybody in the management staff has to take some of the blame.

Wilder is not a happy man. Has he just realised his limitations?

Wilder is not a happy man. Has he just realised his limitations? I've never heard him talk like that. He knows his own position is threatened now. He won't want to be walking in to the fans forum this week on the back of 1 point in 9 this week.

Just on the train home. How we lost that I do not know, did McCormick even have a save to make? Potter should have had at least one goal!
Not happy.

Is it Wilders fault that Alfie missed two good chances?

Does anyone believe we are destined for anything other than mid table mediocrity? Seriously?
I have grown tired of watching us, and as a season ticket holder of ten years, that hurts.

I just think that we get too many injuries because our players aren't fit enough. Also, this is why we always seem to concede late goals.
These issues are down to the management/coaching staff.
THE PLAYERS MUST TRAIN HARDER, AND GET FITTER.

Always respect your views, LLC, but I don't think we're just one or two players away - I think it's more likely five or six. I agree with your point totally on squad depth though. Assuming no injuries, a starting XI of Clarke, Batt, Duberry, Wright, Davis, Potter, Leven, Montrose, Rigg, Constable and Craddock is more likely to win and draw more games than they'll lose. I don't think that XI could nail the autos, but could be in with a shout of the playoffs. The problem is that the likes of Chapman, Smalley, Heslop, Raynes, Worley, Capaldi, Parker, O'Brien, Pittman and even the popular Andy whing (seriously, what position would he play in our 4-4-2 nowadays?) as back up, I don't think we're anywhere near good enough to back up a good XI. Good team, mediocre squad. Throw in injuries to our mix, we're stuck with the reserves and can anyone truly say we deserve anything from this season?

Consensus on the Shrimpers message board is that they were pretty lucky:
"If I was an Oxford fan I'd be gutted." "2 games in a row we have been poor, been out-played and come away with 6 points."

We sign who we want, were oxford united we sign who we want.... great day out shame about the result....well done joe great effort, thought the team played well, battled hard ,the important second ball and all that !!, finishing as poor as most games i watched last year, if only Alfy could finish he would be championship material.....very pleased the new lad done well, a win or a clean sheet would have been so pleasing for him and the teams moral, 1 point says it all though, not good enough mr wilder, but....looking at the fixtures left if we can gain points in feb surely we are capable of picking up alot more in march/april,,,,all to play for...coyy.

Not sure how singing "we sign who we want" is anything to be proud of ( assuming it refers to lm?) In terms of the result, well we have been here before, off the top of my head I am thinking gillingham away and Southend away last year. How many times do we win a game we dont dominate? answer is not very often. Not sure what answer is as I like wilder, but I sense his time is running out.

Gutted after seeing we should have won and lost, an all too common trend under Wilder. Its almost all too predicatable. ive lots count of how many times over the past few years we have been in a great position to push on and get in the promotion mix before going on a dismal run.
On a brighter note Luton lost at Barrow.

On a lighter note and completely unrelated to the game but apparently Ashley Barnes was in our end today.
