I assume I keep starting matchday threads until such time I start a losing one.
Think we will struggle in this one - Southend are a bogey team for us. In last years match even Paul Sturrock reckoned we should have been 4-0 up at half time. But somehow we lost.
They no longer have Mohsni. But they now have Assombalonga. And he is good.
2-0 (Assombalonga of course) to them I think which would undoubtedly put us in the bottom half of the table. Hope I am wrong.
Also hope both Montrose and Crocombe start.
And good luck to JL and his ultimate supporters. Enjoy your day.

McCormick to start says CW. (oxford Mail) Harsh on Crocombe as I thought he did a good job considering he's young and was making his debut in dreadful conditions. He's waited a long time for his chance and he must have been buzzing about the chance to play a few matches in the first team!

I agree play McCormick, hes a very good goalkeeper, His defence at Truro were woeful! thats why the severe goals conceded.
I certainly wont give him any stick, as he has served his time and been punished. People who want to stay away because the club sign him, then your not true fans. The club have give him a second chance, just like they did sticking with Chapman. He's a quality goalkeeper from what i saw of him as a neutral, and im sure he's still got it.

Can't see anything other than a comfortable shrimpers win.
Disappointed Crocombe drops. Good luck to McCormick- hell need it on several levels today.

oh, is there a game on today, with all the stuff going on I'd quite forgotten. Strangely enough, despite the negatives vibes around for various reasons I think we might sneak this one. 2-1 Richards to score a last minute winner and McCormick to make two or three wonder saves of Banks like quality to keep us in the game. You couldn't make it up.

CW's record against Sturrock is pretty woeful. Southend also put in a disastrous performance when we beat them earlier this season so they'll certainly be upping their game from that day.
I can't see us getting much from this one, especially if we don't have Montrose in there. Here's hoping though!

Richards will begin for Craddock I feel and I hope Montrose is fit. This is going to be a really tough match and if we get anything (draw or win) I will be happy.
Afternoon all and all you Ultimate Away supporters, I hope the sun shines on you this afternoon (it is here) and that you all come home safely with the sun shining on your faces.

No Craddock in the matchday 18. Must be injured.
I though Montrose wasn't risked the other week as he had a slight strain? Missed 3 games now

Afternoon, never convinced by a midfield duo of Leven and Chapman, almost a case of one bird killed by two stones. But nothing like a solid bit of optimism so I'm gonna say 3-1 to the yellows. COYY

Nervous with that central midfield. Not mobile enough. But hopefully they'll just keep the ball all game.

Afternoon, lets hope its a good one. Both teams are missing their top scorers today. I hope Craddock's injury isn't serious.
My prediction is 2-1 to the mighty yellows.

Afternoon all.
I'm fed up with it as well. He did wrong, he's done his time, give him a chance, its all history now.
Just hope the lads can put all this behind them and spur them on to a win.
