Great to see Asa getting his first goal today. Hopefully he starts to bang them in now like he did for Luton last time they were in div 2

Yeah. In a way it was one of the worst of his recent performances (not poor obviously)
Great to see him score I must say

Does he drive a car with a personalised numberplate? Saw a car going up the M40 around half ten with "ASA" in the numberplate.

Can anybody who was sat in the South Stand lower near the dugout confirm or deny the rumour that when Asa scored CW was heard to have said (or something similar) : "I've waited seven f*cking months for that"

Hall used to be a Shrew.
It always happens.

Yeah. In a way it was one of the worst of his recent performances (not poor obviously) Great to see him score I must say Personally, I thought it was one of his better performances. He drove the midfield forward, always supporting the forwards but working back well, playing the role of a 'box to box midfielder'. In addition, he was a threat aerially from corners, winning more than his fair share. He did seem to tire just before coming off but his work rate whilst on the pitch was excellent. Certainly took his goal really well.

He took his goal well (finally), but seemed to lack a bit of composure when in possession and I counted at least five passes in the first half alone that he just kicked in the hope of someone being where he kicked it - each time it was collected easily by a Shrews player.

Now he needs to push on and get about a Goal a Game to get his predicted target for the season

Slightly worried that he tired again in the second half. He's done that quite a few times recently, he should be able to play a full match without tiring at this level surely?

Asa Hall can be a handful when he gets forward from deep and I like how he's always in and around the box when we attack. But he does give the ball away too often for my liking and I don't think there's too much between him, Heslop and Payne. I would happily see any of them alongside Clist and MacLaren. Although I would like to see Payne giving a run alongside MacLaren as I think he will be better using his creativity further forward than he was as the holding midfielder

Not Hall's biggest fan, but he took his goal very well on tuesday night, good cut back from Constable to set him up too, even though the shrewsbury defender missed the ball completely. Thought he seemed to gain a bit more confidence after he had scored, and was trying more shots, and also went close with a header, but still he is sloppy with his passing, and gives the ball away too regularly for my liking.

Hes a Poor mans Matt Murphy! He has similarities but Hall is quicker and puts himself about more. If Hall manages to score 18 goals a season from midfield in a mediocre side playing in a division higher than we currently play in - THEN he can be compared favourably to Matt Murphy. PLEASE don't get me started by unfairly slagging off the Murphs!!!

Curious tangent, did you know Murphy was a smoker when he played ?

If it hadn't been so funny I would have cried I was just comparing them physically, not in playing ability. For what it's worth I don't think Hall could play in the Championship or probably league one.
