Can we call time on the tough week. Agree, I'm not a heartless person but we have all lost someone, you just need to get on with it. Hopefully now we can draw a line under this. Sent from my HTC One X using proboards

No ^^ let's blame Wilder. We were outplayed by Aldershot. The stats back this up.

Regardless of where the blame lies, I've got to say was disgusted by the "fans" who booed at full time. Poor game with a weird atmosphere, but this really wasn't the time to boo our own team.
PS Good on the shot fans for joining in the minutes applause for Mitchel Cole.

When else are fans supposed to boo, or do you disapprove of any booing?

It's a free country, you can boo whenever you want. But for me today was one of the games when you should get behind the team and show some defiance in the face of adversity. It would be hypocritical for me to say you should never boo your own side, but I'll only do it if the team over all hasn't played like they mean it.

Do you mean "pretend we were any good"?

I got behind the team during the 90 mins. I booed at full time after another poor, gutless home performance.

Well, we seem to be "taking it on the chin" quite a lot lately, but rarely "coming back fighting." That's what pisses people off. That's why some people boo. How many more chances to under=performing players deserve? When will it be OK to boo?

You're not buying the CW crap about long trips to Accrington and Plymouth are you? And why were they depressed? Again, we have to move on from the tragic events surrounding Mitchell Cole. Or did you mean depressed about their performance? If so, tough!

Why were they knackered? And why were they depressed? "why ?" is a different discussion. The fact is that, at least from my POV, that is what they were, and it is then up to us to try and lift their spirits for the next game.

What are the players doing to lift our sprints at present?

True enough, but I don't think that today's (lack of) performance was due lack of desire on the teams part, which is why they don't deserve to be booed by their own fans. Certainly there is an argument for change in management and coaching, but I can't see that being achieved by anything the crowd might do on match day.

What are the players doing to lift our sprints at present? Nottalot at present to be sure. But the attitude that the team are making the fans unhappy, so we'll make the team unhappy, can only result in a vicious circle of ever worsening performances and and crowd atmospheres. United we stand etc. Also, no one could think for a second that anyone on the pitch was thinking "we're p*ssed off with the fans' behaviour, so lets teach them a lesson and put in a poor performance this afternoon" I'm not saying that there is no room for criticism of the club, but today I thought the booing at the end of the match was disloyal and counter-productive.

Doesn't the team sort of expect a certain amount of booing when the performance is not great, and particularly when not beating a side at home we 'should' be beating? We know that emotions are still quite raw, but they still had a game to play.

Btw, most of the people 'booing' towards, and at the end of the match** were directing their angst towards Mr Wilder from where i was stood (NS) Just how can you see it being achieved if the Chairman/Owner is doing Zilch about the dire 'football' and downward spiral? he's keeping his profile so low- it's now buried. And the only way of protesting by those still brave/stupid enough to attend is to BOOOooo..

Shit result, sorry about the language, but thats exactly what it is. Unification is absolutley right. The sooner we reach 50 points the better, but i still can't how CW will turn it around. I keep saying it and will say it again, he is tactically inept, and if we are being outplayed by Aldershit then there is something seriously wrong, or worse we could be fighting with Barnet,Plymouth,Brizzle Rovers.

I thought the booing at the end of the match was disloyal and counter-productive. "Disloyal"? Interesting concept. Those disloyal booers are, for the moment, keeping the club afloat with their hard-earned cash. How about some loyalty from the people whose salaries they pay? And how was it counter-productive? The match had ended. We were rubbish, not necessarily through lack of ability, but lack of effort or tactical nous or simply heart. The manager and players need to know how fans feel, and they should accept the criticism like men.

IMO it would have been disloyal to not boo at the end. At least those of us who booed took the only available opportunity to show our feelings instead of creeping out (tho it's getting harder and harder to stay till the end (or the start)).

Aldershot were the better team. We were pedestrian yet again. When I heard Wilder come out with the excuse about a long trip to Plymouth, I was disgusted, they didn’t bloody walk there, they sat on a coach. These are young men who are at the peak of fitness, so a bloody coach trip is not a reason for their performance. He then mentioned the psychological effects of losing Mitchell Cole. It’s terrible loss, but this should not have been mentioned. Everyone loses a person at some stage in their life, but we all have to move on. If anything this should have been a spur to go out and perform for Mitchell. We really are in danger of getting dragged into the mire To drop (lose) 2 points to a bottom 3 side shows how poor we are.

at least half the team aren't fit to wear the shirt and CW is not to fit to manage the team, and i'm not going to another game until Wilder has gone(i haven't been for a while as it is).....the club is losing fans and their money.

A mate of mine missed the game on Saturday as he was out of the country, he has missed very few games (home or away) over the last 15 or so years. He e-mailed me his thoughts "Had a really good time away, which was spoiled by following the game Saturday on twitter. We really are in a relegation battle , we cannot beat the bottom 2 teams. The text commentary sounded typical no attack, keeper having so saves to make, we score a goal and do nothing, then they come back into the game and then get a goal, after bizarre subs and bringing on Heslop for no reason. Too many team changes yet again, and far too many excuses, all teams have to travel, Plymouth and Fleetwood have to do it all the time, and then to bring up Mitchell Cole is a bit low, at Accrington far enough, they had just had the news, but it wasn't mentioned Tuesday (because we won) and now he brings it up again, funny how Stevenage managed to win. As for Lenagan , I'm not convinced he gives a monkeys about the club and promotion, he is never going to sack Wilder, and what annoys me more than anything else is the silence from him, just like Kassam. we hear nothing from him unless you buy the programme".

Personally I find 'booing' totally counterintuitive as a supporter - I cannot bring myself to do it.
But I don't really condemn those who do. Its just pure frustration.
Abuse or booing during a game is a different matter.

People need to remember Aldershot's good away record recently. They've won 3 from 5 (should have won all 5) in the league and won away in the FA Cup. Away from home they are no mugs.
