Well, Well, Well With such doom and gloom around the place can anyone see us puliing this one out of the bag.................................? I am sure we have some optimistic fans out there and i am certainly one of them. This league has so many teams that consistantly shock us on Saturday afternoons with surprising results, we should know. We need to be strong in defence, tenacious in midfield and clinical up front (its not rocket science), we DO have the players to achieve this and we WILL WIN AT ROTHERHAM.......................................... . Rotherham Utd - 1 OXFORD UNITED - 3 Att 6759 (563 yellows - including two from Lincoln)

Come on. You been sipping the vino?
3-1 Rotherham. Remember, our defence has leaked 15 in 5. And we ain't scoring for shite.
The milk is soured. Let's pour it away Monday and start afresh.
Certainly not through choice - i stood in The Cuckoo Lane End on 5th May 1986.
Great to see a positive thread starting Lincolnyellow, I'll be there tomorrow supporting my team. I have a sneaky feeling were going to get a decent result not that it would it shut certain people up on here
We'll ride our luck, 2-1 Oxford. Half time 1-0 down, not looking good, playing shockingly poor .. but somehow we'll get 2 goals (Beano, Craddock) they will miss many chances in last few minutes, we'll hang on. 6,666 (666 Yellows including 3 from Nottingham + 1 from York)
Really big game today. I don't for 1 second agree with anyone who hopes for a defeat so it means there is a greater chance Chris Wilder will be sacked. It's about Oxford United, which should matter more, so a result is vital for the club we love, not for the manager.
Good luck lads.

Anyone who wants to see their own team get beaten is mad, 3 points further behind cannot be for the good of the club, even if they think getting rid of CW would be.

For any chance of long term success, ie promotion or hey possible avoiding relegation we need a chamge of management and if we are going to be beaten today the bigger the defeat the greater the chance of a change of management.
I cannot see Wilder staying after a heavy defeat and if he did it would be up to supporters to push him out by boycott/protest.
The club is bigger than the manager. The manager should not be controlling the future of the club.
Jamesb, the basis of your point is correct. But I think you are totally obsessed with wanting Wilder out, and aren't actually bothered about the club at all.
Some who feel its time for Wilder to go, have done so in a way which shows they love the club and only want the best for the club.
Take note Jamesb.

I'll be there in blind hope that we can pull something out the bag. Score prediction 2-1 yellows, don't care who scores. This is the start of our charge up the league

When I stopped posting, we started winning. If you're reading this stick £1 against us
Come on you yellows! Can't see us winning today given morale and poor form, but sincerely hope I'm wrong. This afternoon is not about the future management of the club, it's about an improved performance from our team.
After the match, the great debate can continue ....
I have followed this club since the they were Headington United and have seen many (somebody will tell I'm sure) managers come and go since 1953. I have also, despite my glass half full look at life, predicted losing a match. But I have never, and never will, forecast a lose just to get rid of a manager eeven if that's what I wanted. The club comes first! Last week was a big disappointment, witnessing a match lost in God-knows how many years. But we did and now I've gotten over it and so on to today.
A tough one but I feel the metality will be right, that we will not lay down, and that with guts and determination we will win 2-0.

JL, I am totally bothered about my club whiich is why I look to its progressi whixh is wholly conditional on achieving a change of manager and NOW.
So tell me how that is not logical.
because it isn't wholly conditional on Wilder leaving at all, that's just some pint-glass conjecture that you're taking as fact. to base an assumption on things other than fact is fairly illogical
"I ran five miles today... finally i said 'lady keep your purse'!"
I maybe mad, but I'm an optimist and think we will win 2-1. Will have no fingernails left after the match and nerves will be shot to pieces (nowt new there then).
Not impressed with the formation. 343 didn't do us any good last time he tried it! I don't see the point in it, when things are going badly get back to basics and nothing more basic than 442.
