Everyone happy? Even the anti's must be pleased with the start to the season. Four goals, two clean sheets, six points thank you very much.

We're top now, aren't we? Yes, so long as Gillingham have not scored a second.

I don't know why everyone's so pleased with these two results. We've only managed to beat two teams in the bottom four. If we can't score any more against that rubbish Wilder should be sacked.

Southend were a very strong team last season, they were our bogey team and I believed they made the play-offs only to get knocked out by Crewe Bristol Rovers have looked very strong as well since the new manager has come in and turned things around Stop being so negative...

Another great result. Just one question. Regardless of your views on wilder, after Saturdays result, where are the missing 1000 odd? Is it because of the holidays, baffles me.

Inspired substitution by Chris Wilder, change of formation did the trick, two well taken goals by TC.

I still have no confidence in Wilder. If we go on a good run, he will start his tinkering, p*ss players off and suddenly we will crumble.

Then you'd see how fast and far we'd go. [For the benefit of some of you out there, and the absence of any obvious sarcasm font, ]

Excellent start to the season. Pleased with both results.
One slight moan (sorry).... in both games we have been quite negative once we've taken the lead. Today, we could have EASILY beaten them by 3/4/5 goals. And on saturday we were very defensive second half.
I know i'm being picky, but i just hope that we don't continue doing that throughout the season, because i think that was one of our main problems last season. And also because i think we have enough ability in our squad to beat teams 3/4 - 0 on a regular basis.
But yeah, that's just me being picky. Long may this run continue.

Just in and very pleased with what I've seen tonight. Even after we scored we didn't panic a la last year. Played neatly out of defence and had Southend run ragged by the end by constant switching play. For once we created lots of space against 10 men. Numerous chances created. Forster Caskey had an immense game IMO as did Alfie and Craddock when he came on. Smalley speed enabled him to win some balls that he had no right to get. Only player not on song was Rigg but from the three games I have seen he will be ok on another night.

Long may this run continue. # There's no way we could have 'easily' won by 5 goals, and we did the right thing on Saturday; 2-0 up away, defend like rocks so that we dont concede an early second half goal, and then play conservatively (not necessarily defensively). It's completely ridiculous to moan that we are not beating teams like Southend or away at Rovers by 3 or 4 goals...

Agree, except I thought Rigg was good throughout, he just didn't get involved as much after the subs.

Good result. First off who was the dick trying to drive into the East Stand Car Park after the game? Everyone got delayed leaving because he was trying to get into a car park that everyone was trying to get out of.
Back to the game, I thought Wilder got the sub spot on and has learnt from last season. We missed far too many chances, but we had a plan. Potter is developing nicely now, and his delivering an end product. Smalley linked the play well and got around like Beano used to.
Southend without Moshni looked poor. They didn't have their outlet to play to and the lad stuck up front had no support. The sending off was silly from their player. It was a stupid foul to give away in front of the Ref that oyt him into a situation where he could get the card out. I'd be annoyed if it was our player, but he didn't need to foul JFC.

we did not miss beano tonight and should start craddock and smalley instead, smalleys touch and control of the ball seems better and craddock well he takes a shot ! . There isnt much moaning to be done, a little scared to take the ball more forward perhaps but we made use of the extra man in the second half, alfie could have scored, rigg could have scored, craddock scored two, and smalley well he was crying out for the ball alot and didnt get passed to alot, but when he did, un selfishly set potter or the others up....
wilder out ! !
