15 Premiership sides and 35 others in the 2nd round draw. I count that 28 of the 35 were above us at the end of last season. So we will be unseeded.

are there really 200 guests on the forum tonite? They're all anti-Wilder's waiting until we lose so they can make an account to spout utter bollocks on here for at least a week.

May I say that the referee was the epitome of crapiness tonight.
He gave us hardly anything at all in the first half but gave doubtful fouls to Bournemouth.

I thought Capaldi was poor plus smalley and heslop, but chapman and the two centre halves were great

Jake Wright was my man of the match. I thought he was a gonna towards the end though. He was the last man.

Jake Wright was my man of the match. I thought he was a gonna towards the end though. He was the last man. Raynes was my MOM, thought that he played really well.

It wasn't the best of matches, but it's a winning start albeit from the lottery of a pen shootout. I thought the five penalty takers showed good character, and slotted them away nicely.
MOM = Raynes imo.
Villa or Everton next round please.

Capaldi was bad, and just because they come on late doesn't mean we should expect them to be poor. They had enough time to make an impact but didn't

Mr Carlisle is the flirting tart. He kept our manager on tenterhooks all summer and then appears to have decided to retire. His weasel words are no consolation. Just imagine "right girl, wrong time"

I agree Chappers got better as the game wore on. Beano played better than the other pre season home games and I thought Capaldi and Rigg had a real good understanding and looked good together on the left. Heslop looked as though he had built up some muscle and a lot more speed. Penalties were all excellent. Pleased to be there. A shame more armchair supporters didn't make the trip BUT those that did gave the players positive feed back for the result. Don't judge the lack of goals from this game. Some of the play was very inventive but were marshalled well by a decent Bournemouth defence.

May I say that the referee was the epitome of crapiness tonight. He gave us hardly anything at all in the first half but gave doubtful fouls to Bournemouth. I think he did us a massive favour Tonight, the Wright incident late on when he gave the ball away was at least a booking and could have even got a straight red, Wright should have gone for 2 yellows so the ref redeemed himself for his earlier crapness.

Shame we didn't create any good chances Really, what about the double save in the first half, or Chapman rattling their bar. It wasn't a match of clear cut chances, neither keeper had to perform heroics in open play, but a decent match with some good play by both teams.

Shame we didn't create any good chances That will be other than the shots from Chapmen, Rigg, Craddock (2) and Chappers free kick. Apart from Craddock screwing Chapmans free kick just wide of the post all the others were on target and well saved by the keeper.
