hello!!!!!! Where you there? Hackney a lasy passer like McLean prehaps a class or 2 above L2 pURKISS a better crosser than Batt but not as fast Worley a 6 sorry at least a 7 wright an 8 Heslop a 6 sorry 8 Mc lauren an 8 Mclean an 8 hes just class above our strikers, and hes playing to deep to get the ball Mids at least a 7 won every header ** No idea why clist came on before Potter other than CW negativiness as we had them Oh no I didnt go. Didnt think I actually had to see the game to be able to judge it. Of course I was there! My ratings are just how I saw it. It was a great win yesterday but there was no real stand out performances and as such my ratings are more average I suppose. We get too carried away with wins sometimes. Weve played a lot better this season and not won. I bet you wouldnt have marked the players with high ratings for them.

Sorry thought purkiss was exposed today,, stood off far to much and let Daley dictate the play. Thought Worley was top drawer today He had to stand off most of the time because there were usually two players hammering down at him and no back up from either Heslop or Worley. In that situation you have to hang off tackling for as long as possible because any mistake will let the other player in.

hello!!!!!! Where you there? Have a bit of respect for other people's opinions. One of the beauties of an internet forum is that you are allowed to disagree with people and put your case accross, and should hold back on the attempts to sound like a patronising t*at.

5 for Purkiss is ridiculous. What the **** do you want from a full back ? He's not as athletic as Batt, few are, so you need to remove that aspect when judging him but I thought there was a marked improvement in his mobility yesterday and while he doesn't head for the byline like Batt he got himself in support of the attack. I've been critical previously that he plays the safe ball into the channel and doesn't take enough responsibility on the ball but yesterday he looked to play it inside to feet and look for the return. I wasn't in a good position to see their goal so can't say whether Purkiss was culpable, to me it looked a poor goal collectively to concede. My mark was based on him sitting off Daley for so much of the game and it came as little surprise that Daley was behind Rotherham's goal. Throw in some poor crossing when he did get up the field (compare his crossing to that of the very one-footed, but exciting Hackney) and I feel a 5 justifies his performance, alongside that of Constable who had an off day as well. We are in the odd position with our right-backs that they aren't like-for-like. Batt, as you say, due to his athleticism plays more like a wingback - getting forward, beating the first man and looking for the cross or support inside. Purkiss needs the right midfielder for support, will sit back and will dictate play from the defence. Ultimately, it means our right hand side can vary depending on the right back we play. Overall, I think it's essential that we play Hall in the midfield as support for both Batt (man to be on the end of crosses) and Purkiss (the link up player in midfield).

Not sure who was MOTM for me but, Purkiss - Needs to learn theres more than one pass down the line McLaren - possibly his worst display for us McLean - wanted to get involved with their players to much and made many wrong decisions when going forward Beano - only down side was his finishing today
All in all thought Rotherham were very poor at the back and only came into the game when they scored and played better with 10 men. If they were 3rd weve nothing to fear and should be aiming for play-offs at the least!

The CB for Rotherham had a bit of a shocker......
Thought it was pretty much 6 and 7's (ratings) all round. We were decent in patches.
Hackney probably 8 - a very good impact and we should have got a third to see off the game.
Thought Mclean was okay - but wanted more from him.

Mclaren does a lot for the side that is not obvious and he has really improved us, but there were a fair few stray passes from him yesterday
