IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE AVATARS AND IMAGES
If anyone doesn't want to see anybody else's Avatar's or any Images that are posted, they can both be turned off in your profile. Very simple to
do.
Just go into your profile, then modify profile, and then turn off avatars and images.
then click on the modify profile button at the bottom.
HOW TO PLACE AN IMAGE IN YOUR MESSAGE
You can now use the attachment feature. Just click on the browse button and upload your picture straight from your computer.
....or
1. Save a picture to your pc
2. Go to www.tinypic.com
3. Upload the picture
when it has uploaded you will see it will give you 4 addresses for that picture. The second address down is the address that you want with img
/img at either end of the address. Copy the address then come back to the forum and paste that address including the img /img at either end, and
your picture will appear once you have posted it!
Or you can go to any picture on the internet, right click on it, and in properties copy the address. Then in your post, click in the tags list
on the picture in the frame. This will bring up the img /img code. Just place the address in the middle of the code.
P.S PLEASE KEEP THEM CLEAN!! It doesn't offend me, but it may offend other people. Thanks

avatar, just go to...
1. Profile
2. Modify Profile (this link is at the top next to the bookmarks link)
3. Next to Avatars is a drop down menu. Click on one of the files.
4. Click the 'modify profile' button at the bottom.
WRONG TIME ON POSTS
For all people with posts showing the wrong time, the reason is the software that we use does not automatically switch between Summertime and
Wintertime.
To set the correct time go to your profile, click "modify profile" and set "Currently Observing DST:" to "No" for Wintertime or "Yes"for
Summertime.
(DST = Daylight Saving Time).
POST RANKINGS
Just in case anyone is interested
Here's the rankings
To watch BBC and ITV iPlayer outside the UK
To watch iPlayer (BBC and ITV) outside the UK (this only works if you have Firefox installed) download and install "Tor Browser" english version from www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en and then download and install Mgeni from code.google.com/p/mgeni/downloads/list
Then start Tor Browser, wait until you see the screen that says "Congratulations. Your browser is configured to use Tor."
Now start Mgeni and wait until it says "Tor is working properly etc"
Then click the little blue ball at the top left (4th icon), select "UK" and then type in www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer.
This bring up iplayer thinking that you are in the UK. Then just find the programme you want and enjoy.
Sometimes the selected programma does not come up properly. Just give a right-click inside the viewing area and choose "Reload". Then it works fine. At least it does for the BBC.
Hope this helps all you exiles. Have fun. And be careful, don't download these programmas from other sites, there are pirates on the coast. And don't use it for download sites (music or anything else), I'm not sure who you can trust.
