Oxbible has posted a rumour not sure from where but it’s been uploaded onto F/B, but apparently wont be playing again due to a knee injury. Sorry I can’t paste it but it’s on F/B

May be wrong but this chap was spot on about a fair bit of late..

He also posted that the stadium was part of the deal in a takeover I don’t believe a word of Oxbible

Wasn't he referring to Rob Hall?

Wasn't he referring to Rob Hall? I may have missunderstood, but fairly sure he was referring to Ribeiro. Hopefully it's not true, would be gutting for the player.

I’m pretty sure he was referring to riberio, hence using the name riberio. Pretty sure hall has been given a return date, where as we haven’t even heard what happened to ribs or why he’s been out of the squad for the last few games

Reckon this one might be true. Someone very ITK told me an announcement was due that a player was retiring through injury. Wouldn't tell me who it was.

Not superior, just confident junior knows the difference between rob hall and riberio

We don't have a player called Ribiero or Riberio. I'm confused.

We don't have a player called Ribiero or Riberio. I'm confused. That’s because he retired through injury. Keep up man 😉

Ribiero's knee injury sounded like it was one that was going to cause him constant pain and be prone to niggles that we've seen this season. It wouldn't be that surprising to see him retire.

Perhaps it would be respectful to address the man by his name?

Confirmed now
Shame for the guy, seemed a decent player and a good pro who could have done far better had he not been plagued by injuries, wish him the best

Don't think i can cope with Tiendalli at Rb for rest of the season.
He's been great this season, his goal against Charlton i believe the last time he played at home.
Same age MApp was forced to retire. Can only wish the best for Ribiero

Why is information like this getting leaked before an announcement was made? Someone at the club talking when they shouldn't be?

That's really sad. I'm sure he'll do well at something else in future, he seemed a very articulate and intelligent guy.

We don’t have the best of luck with signing fullbacks that are then out for a long time

Never good to see a talented footballer have his career cut short. Thankfully he is still young enough to explore any number of avenues. All the best to him.

Really disappointing news - reckon he could've been a very good player for us if he hadn't been stricken down. It's now up to Tiendalli, Carroll and Long when he comes back to fight out for that spot and make it their own, or I can see someone coming in in January.

He was never really fully fit you felt after that bad injury he got right at the beginning of his time here, so we never really saw him play to his full potential, always looked as if a better player was in there in the handful of games he played for us, unfortunately if your body won't hold up/let you not much can be done.
Sad for the bloke but fair play to him for facing up to it rather than trying to just keep coming back and doing further damage to himself, being able to walk is more important than playing football, he manned up and made the right decision for him and his family.
Good luck to him in whatever he does in the future.

Comes across as a decent chap, and a good professional too. Unfortunately I don't think we saw the best of him on the pitch.
He must be gutted, a difficult thing to come to terms with but it sounds as if he's got his head screwed on, so hopefully a successful career for Christian in the future.
Good luck!

All the best to him. Respectfully though I'm pleased as hopefully it'll lead to either a new signing or the return long term of Carroll..
