Seeing as a lot of us like to express a modicum of flair when it comes to vocabulary - and I have to google maybe 20% of such instances here’s a little glossary. I’m expecting daily updates from Paul Cannell.
I’ll get us started with one I saw on another thread I knew I knew but just couldn’t quite get my finger on it
Churlish - rude in a mean-spirited and surly way.

Ubiquitous
I came across this word in an Inspiral Carpets song many years ago and looked it up. It remains one of my favourite words.
It means someone or something that is (or appears to be) in more than one place at the same time.

Cabal. I first knew this as a 1990’s arcade game. But so appropriate now.

Insouciance - casual lack of concern; indifference. I have suffered from this at work in the past couple of weeks

Obfuscate - to be unclear, unintelligible or obscure
"Unsurprisingly, Bazzer's post only served to obfuscate an already confusing conversation"
Next one is one of those that you've heard your mum say a few times but still wouldn't be able to tell you what it means Crass - showing no intelligence or sensitivity
"I wish he would realize that his racism and bigotry are based on crass stereotypes of people that are just as human as you and I."

Serendipity - when something beneficial is achieved or discovered totally by chance.
It was used on this very forum some time ago and I've loved it ever since - a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy

Last year we started keeping rabbits as pets and I discovered they were crepuscular, meaning active at twilight (dusk and dawn). Big shout out to Cinnamon and Honey by the way, big Oxford fans.

Supine. As I was told to get earlier on today.
I’m not explaining what it means, because if you don’t know, you’re on the wrong thread.
