Are there any refs on here who could offer their opinion on the red card? I haven't seen it but I thought you weren't meant to get sent off if you went for the ball in the box anymore He grabbed his shirt - so not a fair attempt to win the ball. Red card and good spot from ref.

Just got home, absolute class today. I know the red obviously helped but I think we would of still won comfortably 11v11. Payne was unreal. Lego won some very important challenges in first half. Only very slight negative was our skipper was done for pace and let there striker jervis past him so easily on more than one occasion. Didn't cost us nothing today obviously but could of against a better attack. That being said loved today and my treble came in for 215 quid which paid for entire day. Yellllllows

As I've said before we're a real Jekyll and Hyde team, when we're good we're really good and when we're bad we're horrid.
Although I'll be relieved when we reach 50 plus points the reality is that we're almost certainly too good to go down but not nearly consistent enough to get into the play-offs.
Really pleased for Tiendalli & Martin today, they've copped a bit of criticism recently but showed today that they've got something to offer the team.
Tuesday against Blackburn will be a serious test. COYY.

What we did do well was exploit the flanks and play wide which is the way to beat 10 men. A dismissal should allow full backs to bomb on and overlap with wingers as opponents have to generally go quite narrow to protect the goal. Let's see what happens in the big test Tuesday. Still a solid professional performance today and you can only beat what's in front of you. COYY

I like the Plymouth fans commitment to chase Ledson after he scored the penalty, he must have really wanted a hug. Although some knob decided to throw a bottle at him, luckily the throwers hand eye coordination was dog shit.

Therefore by definition he can't be attempting to play the ball. 👍

Only if the player making the foul is adjudged to have been attempting to play the ball and it's inside the penalty area.

Tiebdalli assisted Henry’s I think Cheers it was a good assist to go to the byline and pass it back for what was an easy tap in but still in the right way place at the right time and to be fair we haven’t don’t that in the last few seasons.

Thought Henry was very good, felt he could of taken on there left back on a few more occasions tho but we seem to prefer to cut in and pass it round instead which we did very well. Gotta say I thought Tiendalli was very impressive also, I only remember one really bad pass, when we were attacking high up on the right (obviously) and he passed it straight to defender in front of him. Apart from that no complaints at all from me.

I think we are more likely to make playoffs than be in a relegation scrap. I agree we're inconsistent, but I think we have been slightly blessed with a league that isn't looking particularly strong this year. The fact we can have been on the poor run we've been on and still be within a win of the playoff spots says a lot. Apart from Wigan and Shrews, every team has seemed pretty inconsistent to me. If the general standard stays the same, and we improve and pick up a couple of good players in January, we definitely COULD sneak in.

If the general standard stays the same, and we improve and pick up a couple of good players in January, we definitely COULD sneak in. First of all, what a great and much-needed three points. Wasn't there so can't comment on detail but the three points were all that mattered after our horror run of the last month. I thought we had the capability of making the play-offs, but have seen enough now to just be happy if have a quiet dull season, especially now Nelson is out. Our League place is somewhat 'false ' because of games in hand but even on a conservative glance we are above halfway. But there's not much room for complacency. Six points below us is 19th, I think, so please no more four match losing streaks. Suspect Tuesday will be tougher. Plymouth are really quite crap with eleven men let alone ten. But at least the players will look forward with some confidence restored. And if they can just keep their heads above water we should be fine.

Comment from the Plymouth forum.
Three things oxford had:
A striker who can find the back of the net Commitment and passion A manager who can manage
I love the diverse opinions of football fans.

Eastwood-6 . Don't think he had a save to make Tiandelli-6. First time I have actually seen him look like a professional footballer Mousinho-6. Struggled with Jervis's pace, but positioning good and very calm Martin-6. Better than before. A bit more aggressive than I have seen him Ricardinho-7 . Classy and great work for the third goal Ledson-7. Dominated and kept it simple. Ruffles-7. Getting better by the game. Henry-8. May not be the quickest, but so skilful and very rarely wastes the ball Rothwell- 7. Quick and used the ball well. Kept it all moving. Thomas-8. When he's in the mood, he is very good. Looked sharp from the start Payne-7. Too good for L1. Good movement all game
Subs. Mowatt-5. Am not a fan. Slowish show pony Obika-6. Should have had two today Xemi-6 . Looked ok, but by then Argyle had given up
Overall, we were decent. Only caveat is that we were up against ten men for most of the game and Argyle gave up in the second half. Still, you can only beat what is in front of you. We looked what we ar- a decent mid-table L1 team without the pace to trouble the top six
