So what pub/pubs are we meeting at in the city? White's bar in the town centre, welcome away fans. A bit like a Hyena welcomes a springbok. Or, Oranges and Lemons in St Clemence? Went there a few seasons ago, yellows everywhere, and a few dodgy geezers in the backroom.

Just been on that online ticket dot thing. It has changed colour to some blue/grey shade, quite hard to take a global view of how many tickets sold. Sorry I do not have the patience of Colin B in counting dots. But it appears that there is no extra tickets sold for this game compared to any other standard league game. I can't see that Northampton have sold out either. So I reckon the crowd will only be about 7,500 (6,500 away yellows and 1,000 Notons). The score - don't know, but one team will score 3.

No idea, but as it’s a guessing game and no-one knows which Oxford will turn up, I’m going to predict a draw. Let’s say 2-2 with equal parts joy and horror. We seem to like drawing at home and we’re certainly prone to a moment of horror or two in defence, so it seems a fair guess.

Not feeling it at all. Maybe it's that I can't be bothered to drive down.
Something feels off.
Don't worry, I'll still be there & louder than all of you.

Free parking for a few thousand vehicles, don't park on the verges of the approaching roads, I parked in that rough sink estate nearby last time, was intimidating tbh, steered away from what appeared to be the local boozer, Blackbird? instead opted for a tinny from a local shop.

Been looking forward too this game since the fixtures came out.
Massive local derby- the a43 derby as it's become known. A game not too be missed!
A full house, Oxford fans everywhere. I've heard rumours oxford are going incognito and are gonna take all three stands!
A six mile police escort from the city centre too the ground, it's gonna be carnage! Northampton won't know what hit em!!

Them on the way up and us on the way down. Not good. In which dimension are Northampton “on the up”..? Although not quite as appalling as under Justin Edinburgh two months ago, JFH can hardly be said to have turned them around. www.soccerstats.com/formtable.asp?league=england3In all relevant form tables (appreciably excluding two abject recent cup debacles) we are still in better form than they are.

That's interesting reading and I actually thought we were doing better than that lately. Although to take an arbitrary number of games for form, in the last three games you've drawn two and lost one, we've drawn one and won two. If you go down to one game we've won one against your lost one. Any further back and we're stuffed.

Yes accept entirely that the whole concept of a form table is very arbitrary, and hadn’t realised your last three had been quite so good. Apologies then to TheBigFellah, whose point is then pretty sound!

Lunch on the M40 services. Near Wheatley. Where is the nest place to park at the ground?

I admire the optimism of everyone who says we're going to keep a clean sheet. I'd take absolutely anything the form we are in at the moment. Maybe 2-1 to us today...

Are we treating this as an away day so it feels even more like their Cup Final to Northampton?

We're a Jekyll & Hyde team.
0-0
Which reminds me about the Swindon fan I had the misfortune to cast my eyes upon recently.
There is something wrong with his appearance; something displeasing, something downright detestable.

So what pub/pubs are we meeting at in the city? I'll be at the Welsh Pony on Gloucester Green, see you there? Ah , the good old days of meeting there and getting on the LR coach!

Tricky one for us this. Northampton are in the relegation places but after their dreadful start under JFH have looked much better recently - haven't lost in nearly a month and look much tighter at the back since that 6-0 loss to Bristol Rovers.
I think a low-scoring draw - 0-0 or 1-1.

I'm thinking back to half time at Peterborough where we were a goal down, Hall was off injured, and we were staring down the barrel of 4 defeats on the bounce.
Struggling to see a win today, so will go 1-2 Northampton and hope that I am again very pleasantly surprised.

I'll be at the Welsh Pony on Gloucester Green, see you there? Ah , the good old days of meeting there and getting on the LR coach! Spot on. As there's a lot of us travelling today the LR (MB) might arrange those red double-decker buses all the way to the ground. They'll only slow down on the dual carriage way to open the doors so we can have a p*ss out of the bus rather than in the bus! Happy Days.

What's the parking situation like? If you're rich, plenty of places on the verges of the road outside the stadium. COME ON YOU YELLOWSIf you're poor, keep off the grass.

Nice easy game to get too. Been before, regular parking place just outside the residents zone. Reckon we are going to take their pub. Will be carnage in town after so I`m straight back home for the Gin Festival.
