I got a feeling oooh oooh, unfortunately a bad one and a 2:0 defeat, but happy to be so wrong it hurts.
Will be putting £30k on 1-1 after Williams tip, what odds will I get?

Has anyone heard of Billy Bodin is fit? Went off in the first half last week with a hamstring injury, but haven't seen anything either way. Their best player by a country mile. Their manager says we will find out on Saturday afternoon. Being reported that he’s not playing but it could all be game playing.

One of the closer away games for me so will be attending. 2-2 Ruffels and Henry.

My valued guess is: Bristol Rovers 2 Oxford United 1 (Ledson) Att: 8988 with 1299 Yellows fans. Not what you wanted to see, I know; blame my crystal ball. That result, plus a dog running onto the pitch, is all I can see for this one. No information about defective scoreboards, no news about directors' boxes imp or exploding, no clavicle or coccyx or sternum damage. No in-fighting among the players. No stupid refereeing. No hot-dog stands being stolen. In fact, this couldn't be a more boring match, to be Frank. That just about does it for me.

Result will depend on which Oxford turn up. Thought Pep talked the game down quite a bit yesterday with reference to the work in progress line. I do wonder if there might be an injury we are keeping quiet.
I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw particularly if we can build on it in the next two home games.

Can’t get to the game today, but it’ll be a good ‘un. Always look forward to a game against Gastric Rovers. Spiced up by the Mother Teresa of football (Sercombe) playing. Fancy a 3-1 win with Bodin starting but being stretchered off after 10 mins. COYY

Can we target his hamstring somehow? Make him do lots of sudden bursts of acceleration?

I feel Rovers winning 6-0 last week could work in our favour. They may think they will be able to win easily but we are a much better side than Northampton and will be a bigger test for them.
I am going for a 2-2 draw and Sercombe getting sent off.

So what would 3 wins out of 3 mean for us? Pep being over cautious saying it's a prep season? Genuine play off hopes? Or would we still expect a season of good little runs followed by plenty of 'blips''?

Or would we still expect a season of good little runs followed by plenty of 'blips''? Wouldn't at all be surprise if we lose this, then the next one, then draw, then win the next two. My prediction still stands...on New Year's Day we will have an even number of wins, losses and draws and an even goal difference. Today? 1-1...

Rovers been a bit of a bogey team for us in recent years, but I am quietly confident for this one. It seems like every player who has played for us before has scored against us this year, so also reluctantly expecting Sercombe to bag.

2 nil Oxford. There has been little between these 2 teams over the last couple of seasons and I expect another tight game with us sneaking a goal early in the second half and another at the death. Goals from Nelson and Payne.

Team picked itself for today, after the failed experiment of dropping super Josh Ruffles we appear to be back on track. Tight pick today, they have got results against us in the past despite being a more limited team, got in our faces, pressed and got the ball forward quickly. All depends how we stand up to that early on, big plus for us is we have full backs that can push on now, so could well exploit that space they leave when they press.
Not a game you would put in your acca, but I have a little feeling we will sneak it if we don't let the fact they will be right in our faces early on get to us.

Need to put pressure on Slocombe. Get the corners on the edge of the six yard box get a man on him force him to make a mistake. If we start like we did in the first 20 minutes last week and fire shots we may sneak one in. If we shoot hard and low Slocombe often parrys the ball back into the box instead of towards the corner. Thomas will nick one if we can force saves out of Slocombe.

Afternoon folks. After a personal visit to see the mighty Yellows give the Wombles a lesson in football, I'm back in Flatland to watch the boys grab a game by the throat and win 2-0.
