Having just watched the extended highlights it confirms that Henry was definitely on the end of a stamp from the Rovers player. Even worse, you can see him stepping onto Henry and twisting his foot. For the ref to then book Henry for protesting with the stud marks clearly visible is derisory. I would hope that the EFL review this and issue the correct punishment for the deliberate action. As I saw it, and the assistant also I believe.. sending off offence imo.
Ribs booking was harsh too he clearly got a toe to the ball as the Bristol player moved through and his momentum made it look 10 times worse than it was...certainly wasn't a bad foul.
I thought the official was poor to be blunt and I don't generally criticise referees having been one myself in the past.
And we end up with Rothwell suspended for Tuesday and Henry with an unpleasant souvenir from Bristol. Will the EFL act or does it all just get ignored as one of those unfortunate incidents not requiring action? I get so frustrated with some of the officials. The ref overruled the linesman at one point when the linesman had the far clearer view.

Disappointed to hear there was racism in the stands yesterday. I remember being at the Wembley final against Barnsley when one of our 'fans' decided to call an asian Barnsley fan a terrorist. Nearly throttled him. As a Leeds resident, I'm in the train station regularly. Badly timed my train home yesterday when the station was full of Leeds, Reading and also Middlesborough fans going home after the game. Makes you realise how scummy some football fans are, even making comments at commuters for absolutely no reason. These so-called fans are probably not on this forum because the thick idiots won't be able to string a proper sentence together. All the rest of us can do is condemn it when we hear it. I for one won't hesitate in telling someone to "shut the f*ck up" if I hear any racism in amongst Oxford fans, and I'd like to think that in that situation I'd be supported in doing so. Need to make people feel embarrassed and idiotic for their embarrassing and idiotic behaviour. Anyway, absolutely buzzing that we won! Imagine if we can do a job on Charlton on Tuesday too! C'mon you yellows!! Well said...me too... I won't tolerate it and fortunately I'm big enough and fit enough to stand up for myself if necessary, but I like to think anyone making a stance in this situation would have the back up of others around them.
I'm afraid this is a problem in society that will always be with us and all we can do is confront it and put it down when it manifests itself on the terraces.
Absolutely - stand your ground! Most of these morons think they're impressing their mates but they're not. I won't tolerate certain things and have had 3 occasions to confront unknown individuals whose conduct was unacceptable in my opinion. All with their "mates" - one who seemed not to know any words with more than four letters ( I was with my 11 year old daughter that time) and his mates shut him up, another idiot who thought it was funny to call Luke McCormick a kiddy killer and scream it at the top of his voice and a Cockney guy who persistently stood up in front of my disabled father. He was obnoxious as at first time of asking he told me this ain't Chelsea - he got short shrift from me, fellow supporters backed me and he went and stood some where else in the seats!

Just wanted to thank Rovers for the 3 points. I never thought that we were going to get the win and then... that!! Well done Rovers too for keeping that fantastic terracing. We may never of enjoyed winning quite as much when sitting down. Thanks too for Liam Sercombe for showing why it was for the best that he left. Great day out! Cheers Rovers!

On a different note, here in Dubai I was watching the game on iFollow and what impressed me as much as anything was how we played the game out after scoring. We played a full 15 minutes (injury time ran at 7 mins - I was timing it) after scoring and we slowed the game down without time wasting but passing sensibly in all areas of the field - I think they have learned a lot since the Shrewsbury home game.

He seemed quite nervous warming up in front of our fans not sure why, but he did smile when some of the lads sang his name. The officials were clueless for both team's. Bring on Charlton!

Having just watched the extended highlights on ifollow ( thanks manor ) although I know Wes is a striker, I have been a bit weary about him because of his strike rate and I was shouting from the East stand last week against the Dons to pass, pass, pass and did he listen no! What he did was score a goal and until you see it from the camera prospective you donāt really appreciate how good a goal it was. The performance I saw on ifollow goes to show his work rate and effort and seeing it from the camera angle I can now appreciate how good a player we have in the side.

Heard your customary phone in - very considered and honest as usual. Which zoo were you at this week? I watched the extended highlights and must say it seemed to me that most of them had Oxford in possession! Not many Rovers highlights - but a couple of close calls - but that's football. Look forward to your phone in Tuesday!

Agreed in the most part but we could have made the 3rd sub after the 90 was up rather than 3 minutes before.

If that is the pass and not the touch before the pass then it looks onside but WT is leaning forward. Nearly impossible for the linesman to know for sure one way or the other given the pace the game is played at. Very marginal. In which case the "benefit of the doubt"being given to the offensive player comes into play surely. It's not clearly offside that's for sure Not sure Payne would have scored anyway as their players stopped once the ref blew the whistle.

Iāve heard it said before that the ref is much more likely to add the full amount of additional time for any delays during stoppage time itself so itās perhaps better to make your final subs pre the 90 minute mark.

He's not the quickest player I have seen. He puts a lot of effort in but doesn't seem to get anywhere very quickly. A couple of times their midfield went through him like he wasn't there. Also Roberts....did anyone else see Pep go almost apoplectic when he had a wild shot instead of holding it up? I don't think they were the two players I would have picked to come on and help us see the game out if I'm being completely honest. I'm not saying he had many other options mind you.

I thought that wild shot was close to going in. But can understand Pep's reaction.

Tricky one - you can understand Roberts wanting to do well, and he's only getting occasional scraps thrown to him. Shame - hope he at least gets a few better chances and is able to take them. Otherwise his time is nigh, I'm afraid.
