Wouldn't be against seeing three at the back despite us being at home.
Eastwood
Mous Nelson Williamson Henry/Ribs Rothwell Ledson Ruffels Rico Payne Thomas
It won't be easy for us hopefully the supporters will be patient. 2:1 to us - goals from Ruffs and Payne

2-0 Oxford Nelson Henry both scoring If they box out Payne it'll be a nervy affair. Still think we'll win but if they fail to stop him it'll be a Jack Payne masterclass.
Eastwood Ribiero Nelson Mousinho Ricardinho Ruffles Ledson Henry Payne Rothwell Thomas

With Ricardinho, I just think we should be cautious of overplaying him and despite him being rested vs Brighton, thought he had looked a bit weary recently. I know it's harsh but I'd like to see Carroll getting more time and development, at home vs team in relegation zone seems like a good time to bring him in. I suppose you've got a point with Rothwell, i could understand if Pep were to start him over Ledson, as long as Ruffels is in there with whoever.

Who knows what to expect at the moment, but they're struggling for goals at the moment so let's start out tight and take it from there.
I know it didn't work out well at Bury but I think Ruffels + Ledson is the way to start things off in the middle.

They have only scored 5 league goals! In comparison we have scored 18. They have only scored twice in their last 7 league games, although they did win 1-0 at Blackburn recently. Can't imagine it's gonna be a rip roaring 3-2 victory or anything like that, will gladly take a scrappy 1-0 but would be nice to see an improvement on the last home performance. I'll go 2-1 U's with Thomas and Payne the scorers.

I thought he (carroll) was sent off so misses their next game. So would like to see him involved tomorrow if possible.

I heard on a sports bulletin last night that despite being suspended he's staying on with the squad for Mondays game. The report said that the sending off late in the game was controversial, anyone have any details?

Didn't know he got sent off. Even if he is there tomorrow can't see him featuring as he wouldn't have had any preparation time for the game.

I expect Wimbledon to elbow their way to a draw tomorrow. The ref won't do anything. 0-0.

Darren Drysdale in the middle tomorrow. Slaphead who reffed the card festival against Bury last Christmas and likes to give it the big "I am". Odds for a red card tomorrow?

Pep springs a surprise and goes with a 3-5-1-1 formation.
Wimbledon note the success of Walsall, line up 4-5-1- and man-mark Payne.
The net result is there ain't a lot of room in midfield, despite that minor inconvenience we gamely try and play our way through the middle, whilst the Dons bombard us with long balls into the box.
0-0.

Paul Merson on Sky reckons we will win comfortably.
No prizes for guessing how Wimbledon will play,,,
They have scored what 5 goals all season? They did however beat Blackburn away recently.
Surely we should have too much for them? Anything other than a win will be a poor result and I reckon that them marking Payne tightly will leave room for Rothwell to cause them some damage.

Ah, as others have said I assumed he was available after his sending off I didn't realise he had been sent off, until others mentioned. Would definitely like to see him play, but assume that even if he had come back to Oxford PEP wouldn't choose him because he hasn't been in training this week. Definitely think Ricardinho needs a week off after only playing 40 odd games in 2 years. Maybe see Tiendalli there as i believe he has started training again.

Carroll got a one game suspension, but they have three games while he's away. So he will miss the middle one but be available for the last. Therefore he's stayed on as he will be playing again on Monday.
He will not be involved tomorrow.

Ooooh, Tasty! I'm really looking forward to this one! We're playing the REAL Wimbledon! I went to Plough Lane at least 3 times, with the U's in the 80's. Great memories. Anyway, nostalgia out of the window - Oxford United 5 (Ruffles hat-trick, Van Kettle and Ledson) Wimbledon 2 Att: 7462 and 534 Wombling away fans. This game is making my head itch......no, wait a minute.....it's head lice. They couldn't score in a brothel, we are like Jekyll and Hyde; one minute we play great, then ugly the next. My crystal ball is telling me that something daft is going to happen during this game. Maybe the scoreboard will explode. It could be a streaker on the pitch. Who knows....the directors' box might actually have some directors sitting in it. A couple might break up in the family stand...that would be ironic! A prankster called Nelson will deliver a P45 to Mr. Clotet; not that t*at who surprised Theresa May, but Curtis, our centre back. One of our new players will be injured and require a coccyx transplant. Ledson will crash into a ball-boy and fracture the lad's clavicle. The hot dog stalls will go on strike at half-time, in support of the Royal Mail strike (I don't know why, either). Two of our directors will 'come out of the closet' before the game......no, hang on; two of our directors will come out with Clotet before the game and make a bold statement, about the latest take-over bid............by Monarch Airlines. The ref will book eight players. Nelson will be sent off. Eastwood will show off his latest tattoo, which reads: 'Jesus saves, but I do it better'. A dog will run onto the pitch. That just about does it for me.

Tough game. Ardley will turn out his spoilers and nasty tactics. The ref will show cards and we must remain disciplined. However, no repeat of last season. A win for the Yellows.

if we score first 4-0 to us, if they score first 0-2 to them. They are a scrappy side and we have struggled against those sort of teams, but if we can avoid going behind I fancy us to open them up in the last 30 minutes after they are knackered.

Last season, we played them on TV. I had the pleasure on taking some locals to watch a real game at a bar (7 hour time zone difference). Point being, I was sure we'd win. This Saturday, I can't see a smash & grab. Think each team will win a half
