Thought I'd start this as it's one of the few matches I'll get to this season.
As I didn't see them, the only comment I'll make about the Blackpool or Walsall games is that reports on here and elsewhere were less than flattering.
Given Bury's indifferent start, I'll predict a 1-1 draw and hope for a better performance, particularly from our strikers.

I think we really need to win this game as no win in four games would start to raise more questions especially going into another tough game at Peterborough away on the weekend.

I'll take any win tomorrow night. It feels inevitable Maguire or Edwards will score tomorrow night. Hopefully not though. Going to say we will edge it 1-0 thanks to a Rob Hall goal. Ribiero has traveled so maybe we can see the right side that looked so good for 4 games this season.
Eastwood Ribiero Nelson Williamson Carroll
Mowatt Ledson Ruffles Hall Van Kessel
Mehmeti
Is it just me or have Williamson and Nelson swapped sides recently? Nelson was on the left and Williamson on the right on Saturday, Nelson did not look as comfortable on the left as he does on the right.

Always difficult against these gritty northern teams. I forecast a loss against Walsall but I think we will shade it with a goal from Ribeiro. 3800 fans and Oxford fans showing up in force

Just read Peps thoughts on the game, Pep ready for Bury on the official site. It's all down to the other teams realising how good we have been and changing their style to stop us playing. No shit Sherlock. I am beginning to get nervous about the rest of the season.

I hope we can put the disappointment of the last 2 matches behind us, and get something out of this one. Bury are in the same boat as us at the moment, strong looking squad on paper, but currently under performing. With the likes of Maguire and Beckford they are capable of scoring goals, and you just know Maguire being Maguire will score one against us!!
I'm going to be optimistic and say 2-1 win, Payne and Ruffles scoring for us. I'd hope we change our formation, go 4-3-3 putting Ruffles in midfield to give us a bit more protection in front of the defence. I'd hope to see Ribiero at right back, with Mousinho dropping down to the bench. GVK should be dropped as well, give Mowatt a chance. Not really sure who plays upfront, with Thomas injured, and I'm assuming Obika still struggling. Maybe Payne? Perhaps throw Mehmeti in?
Eastwood Ribs Nelson Williamson Ricardinho Rothwell Ledson Ruffles Hall Payne Mowatt

Not been to Bury before but going to make the trip tomorrow.
Any advice on parking from anyone that's been before? I've heard car parks are few and far between?
Cheers!

Not been to Bury before but going to make the trip tomorrow. Any advice on parking from anyone that's been before? I've heard car parks are few and far between? Cheers! From the club website..
GENERAL SUPPORTER PARKING
Home and away supporters are encouraged to use the Phoenix House car park, located on Brierley Street, opposite the Stadium. At £5 per car, Phoenix House is the best option for those attending the game. It is covered by CCTV cameras and is a 2 minute walk to the ground.
When you return to the car park after the game, go through the pedestrian entrance, which will be unlocked. The main gate opens on a sensor from inside, so if it is closed as you are exiting, simply drive your vehicle to the gate and it will slowly open.
Phoenix House car park closes 1 hour following the final whistle.
If you get there for six with your black away kit on you might get a game.

I don't believe Ribs is yet fit enough to start and will be on the bench
Mous will have his work cut out as Leigh is said to be one of the quickest and best attacking Left backs in the division. So I hope Peps done his homework and bolsters the right side of midfield
Great result for the shakers on Saturday at Charlton that will have lifted morale no end so I think unless Pep has fired a few F88ks into the team it will be a difficuly night.
I'm hoping for a win but cant see it TBH, unless there is some radical improvement from Saturday so I'm going for a 2-2
Cant be with you I'm afraid as I have accepted a corporate for Swindon V Coventry, but will be listening intently from the county ground and with you in spirit ( whilst consuming copious amounts of the same, courtesy of my hosts )
Well done to those that do make the trip to Lancashire though twice in 10 days...a sterling effort worthy of note.

If there is a real threat with an overlapping left back then maybe put Henry in in front of Mous to help him out, with Hall on the left? I just hope if that's the case, Henry doesn't get slagged off for failing to produce a swashbuckling display of wing play. The team is just more solid when he plays. Win the battles first and then bring the likes of GvK on when the opposition is tiring, especially away from home. I'm going for us to win 2-1. Goals from Ruff and Hall.

I'm with you on this William, as with most things. You're a professional gambler, no different to being a solicitor or a really, really accomplished racist. People should respect you for that, not ridicule you. Hope our team get trounced and you make lots of lovely money on the back of it.

Anyone know how our injured players are getting on? Ribeiro and Mehmeti are fit to travel with squad for Bury. Obika is still being accessed which to me means unlikely for tomorrow. Tiendalli is one week or so away from training so maybe another couple weeks until we see him in the squad again, looked good in his short apperance against MK. Thomas is thought to be a long term absence. Rest I'm not sure I think Long isn't too far away but Ashby is still out for a while although chance of either being involved even if fit is very low now.

Although Oxford Mail at end of their Pep article says one week for Thomas, Pep had said a long time to Radio Oxford on Saturday so I wonder if it isn't as bad as first thought. Was always a risk going into the season with players known to have injuries but I wonder if the budget was there to get another striker. Might have to have Roberts on the bench tomorrow for numbers even though he isn't the answer.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out with Thomas, there is obviously something going on behind the scenes. Hope he responds in the right way but my gut tells me otherwise. Back to the game tomorrow, I'm just hoping for a display that installs a bit of confidence again, for both the team and the fans. Id honestly take a win or draw as long as its a solid performance.
