I've had it since Tuesday as I'm a hopeless junkie so paid extra for the Ronaldo Edition, but I haven't used OUFC yet. I've just been working my way through The Journey, which has come on leaps and bounds for its second season.

I am very jealous! I think the Switch has been a revelation for ocassional gamers such as myself, as I felt so disilussioned with the realness, speed, frames per second etc of the PS4 etc, and you had to invest so much time in playing. The switch just gives something more enjoyable and that bit of fun/escapsim we all need.

Brought the NES last year...still haven't opened it, worried it won't be as good as I remember, some great games on there, Mario, Megaman and Double Dragon to name a few

First time I'd ever played the original Zelda and it was both fantastic and an excellent segue into starting Breath of the Wild in March.

Just downloaded the demo - haven't played any football game since FIFA 15. This game is exactly the same as 15. The physics engine, the commentary, the graphics (besides player faces), the crowd noise, it's all the same but in a new shirt. For 40 quid? I wouldn't bother buying it. Its barely changed in 20 years mate, so disappointed with how the games industry has stagnated

Motion capture, Online play, complex physics engines, Ultimate team, FIFA's changed quite a bit...to throw out there that the Games Industry has stagated is proposterous! the things we're doing and delivering we're not even dreamt of 20 years ago...

I would buy it but still think that £50 is too much for a game. £30-35 seems reasonable

Online play ill give you. I thought games would be photo realistic by now, but that stuff is all just polish anyway. Its the fundamental gameplay mechanics that havent moved on since the late 90s. Wheres the industry changing innovative new games now? Its all just sequels and updates and skins on the same game engines, ie low risk lazy profit maximisation. Same as movies. We really need something like VR to take off.

Are you in the industry? Yup - at SEGA, been in the games industry since getting a Saturday job in Virgin Games Centre in the Westgate in November 91!

Check out - Life is Strange or Everyone's gone to the Rapture for impactful story telling, Player Unknown Battlegrounds for online and for graphics take a look at the latest Star Wars Battlefront and a game called Cuphead which are different but equally superb. VR wise, Druken Bar brawl, Super Hot or Raw Data are great fun.

VR wise, Druken Bar brawl, Super Hot or Raw Data are great fun. While Life is Strange and Everyone's Gone to Rapture are both good games, they aren't industry changing innovative games. For me, it's more about evolution than revolution now. Unless something like VR or full-body motion control really takes off in the future, that is. I'm perfectly fine by that though; there are still plenty of stories to be told and countless hours of enjoyment to be had. Devs are certainly still delivering great games, whether they're AAA games like Horizon: Zero Dawn or indies like Cuphead. If people approach games with an open mind there are some real gems out there. I don't think some people realise how much of a gamble the industry can be, so while tons of new IPs would be great, I can also understand why some choose to play it 'safe' at times. Game development isn't cheap and smaller devs often only see rewards for their labour if they deliver a hit. At least that's this outsiders perception anyway. Heck, even bigger, well-known devs are at risk. Look at Lionhead Studios... I want another Fable, dammit! While I'm rambling on about gaming I'd like to take a moment to wish Team Fortress 2 happy birthday - the big 1-0!
