The loos in the SSU East End are rusted and filthy.
It looks like they have not been touched since last season.
Yuk.

The ones in the East Stand were rusty all of last season, even though they aren't supposed to rust. I wonder why the club are in arbitration with the StadCo over monies?

The only parts of the stadium that get any upkeep are those that get used for conference facilities etc, the rest of the stadium is pretty much left to rot. I used to do some work their as a contractor and it was obvious that beyond an absolute minimum the football/stadium side of the operation is less than an afterthought.
We rent an unfinished football ground for a huge sum, get no benefits like money from the bars and even have to pay to get the pitch up to a playable standard, so I doubt the toilets under the stands even get considered.
Considering how long we have been in this situation it's definitely the worst deal in English football, I think we have just grown used to it but when you look from the outside it's staggeringly bad.
I know Darlington and Coventry did badly out of stadium moves but one of those clubs doesn't exist anymore, and the other at least gets to rent a good stadium at a cheap price unlike our shite one at an extortionate one, so has any club done worse than us out of moving grounds?

But he, Kassam, is the self appointed custodian of the club and our wonderful landlord.

Until we actually own the stadium or have a proper lease whereby the club are responsible, this will continue.
A we know the biggest pressing issue at the club is the Ground ....

The urinal in the first set of toilets you come to (after entering through turnstile 1) was blocked, even before the game! Could have easily overflowed on a busier day. Nice to know the posh lot have to suffer the same awful standards as the rest of us.

And a high number of the floodlights don't work. I don't care what OxVox think of Kassam, but I think he's a c*nt. oh wait, I just put on another thread re Wikder that cunts are supposed to be useful!

It makes me think the only way anything will change is if they get trashed and the stadco are forced to replace them - and I am not advocating that at all, ever, but it highlights the futility of the license on the ground.

The club is always going to struggle to attract women and children when the facilities are so disgusting
My advice is go before you come
If we smashed them up I imagine the club would have to pay, not the man who puts his name to this half finished rotting hole

And North. That moment when you walk into the toilets and see a steward (or two) standing in there - the sense of disappointment is unreal. I remember someone saying "what a shitty job... watching men p*ss". I'm sure it was more a case of being unable to smoke, but it still made me laugh.

You could rejoin OxVox as I seem to remember you were a member sometime ago. Alternatively you could contact the Yellow Army yourself, the choice is yours. Join OxVox www.oxvox.org.uk/join-oxvox/

Please note these are my own thoughts.

As well as all of the above today we discovered that Firoz has taken out the draught beer so you can only get lager on draught. Bottle of San Miguel £4.80 & a can of Guinness £5.90! I thought the whole place looked tired. The sooner we move away the better.

If no one bought them then maybe price may come down?

Go to the shops in blackbird leys and you'll get four cans of Guinness for less surely?

I'm wondering if there are any laws in place that require facilities to be up to a certain standard? Shaming the 'Custodian' of the shit hole would be lawful. Everyone carries a phone/camera these days, fire away and send some pics to the local media..
