Tomorrow is going to be a massive day in our future. I can see it going one of two ways 1/ it's announced mapp is staying, the budget is sorted ,all rumours are put to bed with Darryl setting out a clear plan for the future, and McAleny is announced on a 3 year deal. 2/it's announced mapp has left, a feeble excuse like "he's an ambitious manager and we didn't wanna stand in his way" is used, and all other topics like budget are brushed over with Darryl saying he has no idea where they have started. Either way ,today I'm going to my close season happy place, I've just opened my oufc Father's Day card and present. (Some oufc swim shorts). I'm going to try them out in the paddling pool with a beer, and pretend it's two seasons ago, with the excitement of having just announced roofe. que sera sera COYY

I would suggest that someone gets into MAPPs office and gets the contact details of his scouts and target players just in case

Leicester wont want them as they have their own group.

I think he must be mad to be anybody's No.2.

Why do people always say 'it's gonna go one of two ways ' and just make up two random scenarios? There's loads of different potential things that could happen

There's loads of different potential things that could happen It's not 'random' that's just a silly made up lazy misuse of a word that means; 1. proceeding, made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern: the random selection of numbers. 2. Statistics. of or characterizing a process of selection in which each item of a set has an equal probability of being chosen. And, it can only go 'one of two ways' because there are only two ways open! He stays or he leaves. Lazy work, must try harder!

I would hardly describe this forum at the minute as "Calm"

Well no, but also I think a few are holding back as they don't quite believe it at the moment. Only then will the full on shit storm hit the fan. Or fans more appropriately

If the season ticket deadline gets extended again then you just know things are bad.

If the season ticket deadline gets extended again then you just know things are bad. Or even if it ends without any announcement on sales figures

If this is the calm bit then my word this could be the biggest melt down in Yellows Forum history!
MApp either stays or goes, DE will either give us a top 6 budget or give us a budget to compete mid table in this league.
What ever happens I've already purchased my ST for next season and would do so no matter what because it's Oxford United and it's the club I love.
The politics of the running the club doesn't seem interesting to me, it's not my money so I don't feel I should tell a man how he should it or how much he should throw away at a football club. What matters is watching a team of players trying to get 3 points on a Saturday and playing good football.

However Eales wants to spend his money is his business but, don't tell us one thing while doing another. And, don't make empty promises to your staff.

Spot on, yet again people are only p*ssed off as Darryl will have gone back on his many statements again! If he had stuck with the I can fund us at this level line, promising to give a competitive budget then who would have moaned?
But no , he tries to flatter, offering significantly increased budgets, 3 players for fees in Jan, a top six budget to meet the managers ambition. He then wonders where these rumours start on budget cuts and takeovers, well the majority start from him making statements to the press, which he then has to go back and clarify as he didn't means cuts , after all those budgets are sacroscant. He didn't mean he wanted someone with extra finance despite talking to him for 3 months and getting as far as due diligence. He didn't mean that oxvox shouldn't be interfering or completing the deal quickly, as the stadium isn't, no is, no isn't, no most Definitely is vital.

I've been a bit out of the loop lately, what's happened in the last ten days or so that means suddenly everyone is talking about Eales like he is the antichrist? last time I checked people were singing his praises, did he kill a newborn or something??

Wouldn't it have been the easy way out to sell to Sartori if Eales didn't have the money to fund the club for a go at promotion which then could lead to Appleton wanting to leave?
