That'll be the £10m he put aside from the start for this project then...... Your point being?.... Well, if he set aside £10m to spend on the project and he's now spent it, I think the point is fairly clear. Mind you, it's a point which does seem at odds with other claims by DE as to how much he has or hasn't spent.

While it might not bother him, it's hardly a good start when trying to work with him or negotiate a deal with him , is it. It's childish I would suggest it may matter to FK. He put his name on the stadium and now wants(?)a legacy.
Perhaps we'll all know more soon??
I'm fu.... off with the situation (I'm sure our OxVox leaders feel exactly the same?)

Anything further on MAPP/ budget/ plans for the future/ the number of vacancies at the club and staff leaving? No idea mate, was just relaying what was being released on twitter. We will have to wait for sarge for any juicy gossip

There are plenty BS artists that want to buy football clubs. Like Bechetti at Orient. Not surprised that none of them have come to anything

It's called balancing the budget. This was in response to sussox post. Sorry don't understand. Surely if you have a larger budget then you could, if you so wish have both in the squad.

I assume that we will find out far more then I'm a fully paid up member, but can't make Thursday night due to being out of the country. Friday night would have been a better night, more in attendance and most would be able to take a few drinks without the worry of work the next morning (my alarm goes off at 5:00am!). I'm guessing that the pub was only available during a week night?

We'll I would imagine he wants too use the budget in other areas of the squad, so feels paying Maguire the same if not more than he's on now and signing macaleny as well on a similar wage if not more is a waste of a wage.

DE: "If OxVox can't persuade Firoz Kassam to help the club (with the ground) then probably no-one can. Clarity would be very good." DE: "It's a weakness of mine but I don't know how to deal with Firoz effectively. I have tried multiple strategies." Eales: "If someone can make this club more successful than I can I would step aside. If there is a deal I will talk about when appropriate." Eales: "I do think Juan (Sartori) is credible and has connections" but DE adds he would put money on status quo come first match of season. We need another thread about Francis Rossi's takeover of OUFC now!! Hopefully we're not going down the dustpipe.😳

This was in response to sussox post. Sorry don't understand. Surely if you have a larger budget then you could, if you so wish have both in the squad. McAleny was on around 8-10K a week at Everton, that is at a minimum, double our highest earner last season so even with an increased budget we could not afford both CM and McAleny. If given a choice I'd take McAleny. Just because it is an increased budget doesn't mean we can go out and buy who we want. We are a club that has no assets other than players to sell hence why one must be sold each summer. This looks to be Johnson this season who would go for anything around £2million so £1.8 million once you take off Motherwell's 10% sell on. This helps balance the books on in other words, pays off a years rent plus a bit extra to go towards running the club/playing budget. On a side note I am quite glad Dunks has turned down the contract offer as I feel we can do better.

Eales confirms contract offer made to Dunkley has been turned down. Club still deciding on Maguire. May depend on whether McAleny stays. So Maguire hasn't been offered a contract? Hope not. He was overly casual and ineffective in the 2nd half of the season. Made a habit of giving the ball away, and behaving like a spoilt kid. His very occasional moments of brilliance did not, and cannot, make up for his flippant casualness, nor justify his large wage.

Why are YOU suggesting that he "put £10m aside" as if he set himself a limit on what he's prepared to invest. Has he said so? do you know something? Are you his financial advisor? I don't believe HE has never limited or defined an extent beyond which he will not financially support the club. He's been incredibly good to bankroll the club to that extent (£10M) and incredibly honest in saying that if anyone wants to come in as a fellow investor to share the burden and increase the funds available to take the club forward he would welcome them (but not a smash and grab buy-out). He seems like a very straight, down to earth, genuine bloke who is committed to taking OUFC forward (as far as he can) and who I for one am pleased to have at the helm of our club.

Myles, you've been questioning DE from day one. Since then he has put in a huge sum of his personal wealth and brought the club more success than we've seen in 20 years. You never make any references to the football side of things you only come on here to gripe about DE. Maybe he is running low on cash. But as it has been stated since day one, we are operating a 'buy young and sell on' transfer policy. Selling Marvin would keep the club ticking over and allow for further investment in the playing squad. DE may not be perfect but he is a damn sight better than many other league chairmen and certainly better than we've had for a very long time. It's a shame that some are too blinkered to see that.

If you have evidence that he has registered the LIMIT of his financial exposure to OUFC to be no more than £10M and that he will not or cannot go beyond this then please publish it. That is clearly different to his expenditure on the club. I am assuming, from what your research has shown ( I.e your analysis of records at Companies House) that he has established some form of SPV within which to run OUFC. If that has a declared financial commitment that would be both very unusual and very interesting. It would absolutely define what his limitations are. So please publish. Not "kicking off" but very keen to see an evidenced based analysis of both the club and the chairman's position.

Well, at least I can't be accused of being inconsistent! But you will find comments from me on this forum where I have acknowledged the massive progress made on the field. But, but, but..... what we shouldn't do is let short-term success blind us to the long-term effect on the club. Nor should we let the image of the affable chap buying us a pint and a hot dog cloud our judgement either. And the bottom line is this: the club is now carrying the highest level of debt since the dark days of 97/98 when the club was days away from going to the wall, whilst the Chairman makes comments that the club is unsustainable in it's current state (a state largely brought about by the structure put in place by that chairman). As I've expanded on a different thread, the fundamental building blocks for a sustainable club aren't currently in place - in fact they have been removed by the chairman. And over the past 6 months or so, we've had a number of apparently conflicting statements made by the chairman including whether certain elements of the budget are "sacrosanct", how much he has invested in the club and so on. As a result, I make no apologies for continuing to ask questions and point out these issues, because they go to the heart of our club's continuing existence. And what is interesting is the number of people on this forum who are now also openly expressing similar concerns and distrust for DE's public pronouncements, including former residents of the "Positive Bus".

Anything else interesting was said at the AGM oufcyellows? Anything further on MAPP/ budget/ plans for the future/ the number of vacancies at the club and staff leaving? No idea mate, was just relaying what was being released on twitter. We will have to wait for sarge for any juicy gossip Nowt to juicy to relay, as no 'charterhouse' rules/ embargo on agm q&a in place here goes...though for the first time in a while the media were invited, both Jerome (bbc ) and David Pritchard (ox mail)were there, albeit they both turned up (just) after the meeting opened. So there should be some kind of reports via the Ox'mail and BBC Oxford Official business approving minutes, change of accountants/auditors, etc was done n dusted quickly then it was on to informal q & a items covered (from memory/ scrawly notes) in no particular order included : Season ticket pricing & reducing concessions for more senior supporters to that of over 1/3 of efl clubs to 60 years old (down from 65) OUFC felt admission prices were fair (and concessions will remain at 65 for senior supporters) junior supporters packages were discussed ( its gone down from a shirt to a scarf for the forthcoming season) B-team/ checkatrade ... board 'congratulated' on voting the right way. Enquired weather b-team trophy games could, with new tie up with ' City if b-team trophy games could be held a cpf , apparently not as 3g pitches which is being installed at 'city are not permitted at efl level ( OUFC ladies n OUFC youth matches will be at cpf.... also , once completed, 'city clubhouse bar profits will be split 50/50 between OUFC and 'city) DE gave a few 'thoughts' re b-team trophy competition including , even with the additional £ some clubs will be out of pocket, especially with the group stages( which he feels is the worst part of the competition), someone enquired could oufc do a luton and field our youth team & take the fines, 'thats Michaels deciscion' DE felt the additional b-team trophy matches 'cost' OUFC a play off place The pitch at greenoble road was discussed, as it was last season it was 'too hard' and not conducive to the type of football oufc play, pitch issue are being rectified overseen by an independant expert. Confident the pitch for forthcoming home games will be more suited to OUFC/MApp style of football. 'Take over' and stadium ownership were discussed .....my Oxford mail has just arrived...both these subjects are covered in there as are players DE said Ka$$am is very hard to deal with and touched on OUFC still in dispute on service charges DE said if he was a betting man he'd wager come the start of the season he'd still be chairman of OUFC Pre season tour in Portugal opposition was asked about DE said if he was holding off booking to go based on the opposition in Portugal, he'd book now ! ( though no hints were given) First team squad /whos being retained was asked about Dunkley was made a new offer mid season, he rejected it, hes now out of contract Maguire wants to stay, that decision is down to MApp and depends on other factors including if MacAleny can be 'retained'! DE also said the overall plan is to sell one player at profit each close season Development of our young players was also briefly discussed, with supporters being told how good youngsters are rated as being, then they get farmed out on loan, then contacts arent renewed.DE replied as the skill levels and quality of the first team progresses some young players wouldnt be up to standard Situation regarding OUFC using qualified stewards as opposed to agency bouncers ( the incidents over December/Jan home games being the low point)was raised Ian Mixter is on a recruitment drive to redress the balance to 70% OUFC trained /qualified stewards to 30% agency and thats about it... though I may have missed a couple of points? EDIT Wes Thomas will be ready for pre season, Arron Martin will probably be fit for the start of the season, Ashby likely to be 'out' for most of the forthcoming season Budget for players will be likely to be a top 6/7 budget THERE NEVER WAS, NOR IS THERE A PROFIT SHARE BETWEEN OUFC & STADCO ON BEER/FOOD ETC SALES FROM THE MANOR/12th Man/ WHATEVER ITS NAME WAS/IS BAR ON MATCHDAYS!!!!! BTW it was the 65th OUFC AGM ...which emphasises that the agm isnt an annual requirement, that said I like em to be held annually
