Funny how the interviewer can't string three words together without touretting a swear word! Typical of that lot of neanderthals - trying to be hard and 'street' but coming over as thick. Fking thick in fact.

The limitations of Milwall were exposed by us once we proved we could deal with the physicals, but they do have a very good striker in Gregory up top so should always be a threat and aren't that bad of a tea,. Harris maybe has reached his personal Peter principle, but when you are in the play offs still, feels a little harsh to slag him that badly.

What a great day out in London yesterday. Met up with some Millwall friends we hadn't seen for fifteen years in a local pub where the ale was great. London beer selection has really come on in the last decade. Sat with them on the home end where most of their fans were very complimentary about our performance and damning about their own. They were certainly not as noisy as I was led to expect.
The two early goals deflated them for sure. The noise level only raised briefly in the second half when they won a couple of quick corners. Defence were great. They only threatened our goal once and Eastwood made a wonderful one on one save. I would say that was the best performance of the season from the games I've seen. Quite impressed with young Candice who looks very talented and had to cope with a lot of fairly brutal Millwall physicality. If we had played half as well as this at Wembley, we would have stuffed Coventry.

Whoops. You mean Candice Bergen wasn't playing yesterday? Anyway, I think young Canice will be an up and coming star. Possibly another Jason Seacole, although in a different position. That clever flick and turn over the centre back was pure Gazza at his best.

We all knew that if it had not been for his injury he would have made a pro or got very close to being one, If he keeps developing like he is we will end selling him in 3 years or so for around a million. Most likely he will eventually make the senior of Ireland Republic team.

He had some good seasons at Witney Town, bloody good laugh on a night out too!

Both gents but Liam in particular is a really nice chap. Mickey breads horses now in Ireland apparently, making a few bob.

Mickey was some player and could have made it professionally with ease in my opinion, just chose that it wasn't for him after multiple run-ins with Graydon. Liam was supposedly the better player although I didn't see him play, he is a gentleman and I'm delighted for the family. Good pedigree and athleticism in the family, they were all good hurlers and are related to Malcolm McIntosh.

Few comments from their forum:
"Oxford looked a different class than us, in fact they were taking the p*ss later in the game. We should be signing players like their bloke with the pink boots who ran us ragged all day, (was he the one who scored the first two?) and the space they had around our box for those first goals was criminal."
"Since when did Oxford become Brazil"
And to think all we have to do next year is win 2 or 3 more games than we did this year and we'd be in the playoff places, after the run in we had up to xmas!
Think the league will be much tougher next year with some good League 2 sides and Champ sides joining us, but there is no reason we can't sneak into the playoffs if we make a few tweaks/stop winning games in the checkatrade/ thicken up the squad a bit. Good times. Good times indeed. When I started watching the club in the early '00s I used to dream of playing Millwall, Blackburn, Sheffield United, Bolton etc. and we're finally here. I'm not even that arsed about getting promoted next season, I'm enjoying this enough.

So glad I made the effort when most of my mates could not be bothered. Let's not delude ourselves about how brilliant our away support is. This was the last away game of what has been a superb season. Our team deserved more numbers but at least we were noisy. Thanks to the chaps who helped us out at Charing Cross. Things kicked off a bit but fair play to all involved. Nothing too major but Oxford stuck together. Fair play CY, perhaps more should have! But I think you missed the Glouc Road a few years ago?

OK .. In my book the rubbish cup run , did mess our play.off chances. lf not that l feel we would be in them... Completely agree and it's not just hindsight I said so at the time. We put all our eggs in one basket thinking we would just win the cup whereas propped teams didn't focus on the tin pot trophy as showed by a team that finished bottom of the league winning it. Next season i want to see prioritization with first teamers rested for the trophy and let's get knocked out of that distraction as soon as possible and focus on getting promotion via Wembley in the most important competition we enter, the league.

On the other hand you could argue that without the money getting to the final has brought in this season, we might not have the budget to push on next

I’m still here in the away stand......I take it the players are not going to come out now?
.......seriously though could somebody please explain why/how come the referee blew his whistlelette a few seconds shy of the full 90 minutes on the scoreboards clock?
If you were there and also noticed this (by the way my anorak was on at the time and was firmly belted as well) do you think from this sharp finish that there could have been some sort of half time verbal agreement from both managers to finish the game on 90 minutes come what may as a precaution?
If there is a referee on the yellow forum reading my drivel I’d like to know if there can be any loose handshakes done in the event of any safety concerns.
And on the subject of safely concerns olé.....loved the friendless geezer in the suit aged about 60 who was surrounded with all those little 7 to 10 year old hoolie wanabees in the stand to our left towards the end of the match....you just couldn’t make it up- top stuff indeed.
Great day out- smiles better than Millwall olé and if they stay down and we draw them again away early in the new season ....then in true Leslie Crowther style ‘come on down’. COYY.

The clock on the score board is irrelevant the ref will take the time from one of the two watches he wears and from the assistant referee.

In the interview with Connor after the game he said that the ref had told players to get off the pitch as soon as he blew the whistle due to the pitch invasion that had already happened and the risk of one at full-time. Therefore it sounds possible that the ref was being very cautious to avoid unnecessary risk to safety. With the score as emphatic as it was, perhaps there was no harm in drawing things to close at the time he did.

I expected a few mins due to earlier spectator hold up and Carroll injury, plus substitutions. It certainly looks like security was the concern. I was just waiting for our 4th.....
