From time to time we hear from trust members that they are not receiving our emails. There are one or two possible reasons.
Sometimes it's because we don't have the latest email address - if you think this may be the case you can always PM me on this forum or email updates@oxvox.org.uk saying who you are and what your email used to be, and I'll pick it up.
If your membership has expired we will eventually get round to removing you from the mailing list - so if that's a possibility it is worth checking.
Also, if you have had a previous problem with an email account, e.g. exceeded allocation or similar, it's possible a previous attempt by our software to send you an email failed and the address has been marked as problematical - again, let us know if you think this might be the case.
More commonly though, the emails have come through to a spam folder or another folder (e.g. Social or Promotions folder in gmail) rather than a normal inbox and you haven't spotted it.
The key point is that our emails will always come from the address updates@oxvox.org.uk so you may find it works better if you add that address to your safe list. How you do this varies by mail system and I'll add details when I have time to check out a number of systems.
For the moment, in this first post on this thread I'll cover gmail.
There is no "safe sender list" as such in gmail, but adding the email address to your contact list should be sufficient:
Er, that's it.

- Click on the big "Gmail" (may be under 'Google' at the top left) and select "Contacts"
- Click on the "New Contact" button
- Fill in the contact card with a name (e.g. OxVox Updates) and the email address updates@oxvox.org.uk
Er, that's it.
