think its about time the FL started adding a points deduction of 3 points for every winding up action, especially those issued by HMRC... remember they are effectively cheating by not paying their dues. Southend have been "using them" since at least 2009. Are you serious? Anyone owed £750 or more can make a statutory demand for payment, the recipient then has 21 days to either pay the debt or reach some sort of compromise or agreement to pay. If they do not respond, or no agreement it made then or else then you can apply to start bankruptcy to try and recover some of the money owed to you. Bankruptcy is different from a request for payment, you can't issue 3 point fines for the latter.

SUFC have had several such orders from HMRC .... 2009 for £2.1 million, 2010 for £400,000 ,an "undisclosed sum paid in full" in 2016 and again an "undisclosed sum paid in full" in Jan 2017. That isn`t a missed bill or a fiver down the back of the sofa its as close to fraud/cheating as you can get. Their accountancy standards are either poor or deliberately misleading so a points deduction would encourage them to live within their means and pay tax promptly the same as the rest of us.

They seem screwed, I was hoping they would spend years in non league but I doubt they will survive long, will feel a bit cheated if they just go bust.

In court for a winding up order over owing the Inland revenue on Monday, if they lose Saturday then they might as well go into administration and take the points loss now as they are down.

The rules changed years ago regarding that. If they go into admin now the points deduction will be carried over (and probably increased) news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/luton_town/7500435.stm

Orients last game of the season is Blackpool away. The FSF are organising a march in Blackpool that weekend , against clubs in crisis. A good match to choose as they must be, along with Coventry, the most messed up clubs in the league

Are they going to do bucket collections for Orient outside the Kassam?
World's lightest bucket?

I'm sure we can fill the buckets with something. Don't think Orient would want it though!

How come the Hearn's haven't bailed them out or at least publicly backed the campaign?

How come the Hearn's haven't bailed them out or at least publicly backed the campaign? Because he still owns the ground? 5 minutes walk from a tube station, 15 minutes from there to the city of London, worth a mint if the football club no longer play there. If you were Barry Hearn then Leyton Orient going bust is very profitable, why shit money up the wall saving them.

Fly past with banner saying "What comes around, goes around. From OUFC" or "Enjoy the Conference. OUFC" or, my favourite, "Leyton Orient, non league cunts. OUFC"

Orient have survived a winding up order from the HMRC, but thing don't look rosy for them still: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39328423There could be more attempts to wind them up in June. The pot they had to p*ss in has been sold off. I guess they are finally paying for playing players like Darius Henderson silly money a few years back

Debts larger than assets, and on a march to the Conference - good luck finding a buyer for that!
Realistically, this looks like an untenable situation and Orient are starting to look like the next club to go to the wall. Suspect the Ryman League may be getting an application from AFC Orient in the next few years.
And for all that I want them to get relegated as pay back for 2006.....you never want to see any club mismanaged to the extent that it ceases to be. So good luck to them finding a way out of this mess - but barring their psychotic owner turning up a benevolent streak, I don't see it.
