That can5 be the bit that's going to take 4 months. It's very easily solved.

You also wrote: Do we really know what Oxvox have done so far NO (this is pillorying OxVox) Hence I wrote: Yet you still feel you can pillory OxVox and suggest they're being led up the garden path. How do you equate those two statements?I've never suggested you don't trust OxVox. You made that up.

It's not like he even had some cunning plan and tricked us before, he did it all in plain sight. He didn't hold nick merrys arm behind his back or ask him for his autograph on a blank piece of paper that turned out to be a folded contract. He tricked FOUL didn't he- turned them into cheerleaders for him and when everyone was drunk with enthusisas, he slipped the wallet containing that juicy Manor Freehold out of the Club's pocket and into his own

Stuff like that as well intended and helpful to solving the ongoing housing crisis, but I suppose would annoy the club as OCC are seemingly involved and of course there maybe possibilities for the club there with sports pitches on the plan.

Nothing in there really that readers of these boards don't already know which possibly tells you where the OM researched the article, however not every Oxford fan or otherwise reads this forum, so informing the rest of Oxford/Oxfordshire (well those that read Ox Mail/Times) with the 'latest' developments at Grenoble Road has to be a good thing. Now the other OM article re proposed extension & development of land around science park and the stadium looks very interesting, I need to go and study in more detail, Get the feeling we're at a critical stage in the future of OUFC.

I wonder why they allowed no comments beneath the article? It's like the Oxford mail didn't they fancy a couple of lawsuits.

After reading it I am minded to ask why it is that OxVox refuse to speak to lovable old Slippery? Now that is a good question! I think it can only be explained by Schrödinger's theory that they did and didn't speak to him at the same time

The new junction onto The Henley Road would certainly help ease the access problems from that side if it's executed well. SODC are dead against the plan, naturally but are in line for abolition if the County gets it's way.

Well at least it doesn't try to imply that OxVox are at fault for something. However, it DOES say "Operating the stadium would make a major difference to the club’s wellbeing, on many levels.". It would not be them operating the stadium, it would be the community trust wouldn't it? And it still doesn't say what has changed from 'We don't need to own the stadium" and "We will be paying fees for three players" to "We are desperate" and "No players at all"! Not good.

Not the way to go about it though is it? Speak to the council, Oxvox and firoz(can't because they ain't talking). Trying to force the council and firoz through the press isn't going to work, in the same way the badly thought out press release on the training ground backfired

Getting the stadium deal through sooner rather than later would benefit the club, it would benefit OxVox, it would benefit the fans, it would benefit OCC, so surely they aren't the issue behind the length of time it's taking to get to HoT or even a final deal?
The only person who can make that happen is FK. At the moment he's in a legal fight with the club over charges that the club feel aren't fair. Is FK stalling because of that? Is he making life difficult for the club just because he can? Should the club pay the amount that's owed to get the deal done - if that is what's holding it up?
The club's statements recently have been a little rushed and haven't exactly smoothed the waters, but if we got promotion this season and the stadium situation wasn't resolved to the club's benefit then it would be more unsustainable than it is now. Higher player wages, higher stadium costs, with not enough additional income to cover those costs, and FK makes more money.
In that uncertain situation it's understandable that the club want some clarity on when the HoT and subsequent final deal might be done, not that they've gone about it as well as they could have done.

Fair point. Something has changed otherwise I can't see why the club would put the restaurant back on after the arguments so far. Maybe like u said if they can help Oxvox by smoothing relations with fk, drop the court case and pay what's owed(not much) according to gbt, maybe it could help the deal. Saying that fk is dealing with Oxvox and the council not oufc, so maybe it won't affect him at all. Got to be worth playing nicely though as they other way has got oufc nowhere

Looking at the new plans for development South of Grenoble Road, surely this will have a huge impact on whatever Kassam has in mind for the stadium and the Ozone.
The prospect of having an extra 1000 people living within walking distance of a lot of his businesses may give him some new ideas of what to do. (However I think there are restrictions on shops so as not to affect Leys businesses?)
However, unless this gives OUFC any prospect of getting additional revenues, I can't see Eales wanting to continue to bankroll the club with no prospect of breaking even.
