davidmanny. We've got a really important job for you this season if your up for it.
Personally I think your just the man for the job...
Will you drive the positive bus for us please? The reason being is that when the fans get a bit down and negative, I think your just the gent to bring the positivity back too us all.

Good game today, not seen any WSL before. Pretty entertaining. Abingdon is only 20 mins from me so I'll likely keep going.

A good day on the whole today.
My only little gripe was that, yes the players signed autographs for the kids, but they didn't seem engaging with them. When I was they're age I'd go upto Aldridge, Houghton, Charles, Phillips etc and they would ask me my name or whatever where as with some of the players (who I wont name) my boy went up and asked them, they took the ball, signed it and gave it back without a word or even making eye contact with him.
Note... Chey, Taylor and Johnny Giles did make an effort, so cheers lads.

I think it depended who you got at what time and how big the hoard for signings was. I was there early doors and I can't say enough good things about the impression the players made.

Young lads today as a rule are about two steps above mute, to much time growing up on the internet/consoles, so not sure what the club can do about it. Years back players were more gregarious, Magilton from my youth was harder to shut up, used to talk over the coaches, was brilliant with fans and especially kids.

I would argue it has more to do with kids growing up constantly seeing dull personalityless interviews from their favourite players because the club pr doesn't want any issues what with the national media and social media being so hostile.

Ask anyone who has been involved in teaching/coaching or similar for years and they will tell you the same, kids are less outgoing than they were, only likely to be one reason for it. Not fair or unfair really is it, sometimes things just are. You still get the odd good one, should pay them more money as they are doing an important job connecting with the kids, send them ones out all the time rather the surly ones.

If I stick around here for long enough then I'm sure they will . I'm surprised no one took them over when I was on my YF sabbatical last year
