According to their match report v Workington, he never made the bench. Confused a bit here as to what you're referring to? Carlisle played Bradford today and Crocombe got 20 minutes in the second half.

Yes best wishes Max. It's a shame the GK position is so competitive as he never got a long run of games but he always did alright when called up on and has a decent future ahead of him.
Here's to a good career Max.

Slightly surprised by this one, he's had a season and a half of Conference/League 2 football and always thought he was one for the future. At 23 he's still very young and thought another successful 6months/year out at a league 2 club would be enough before he can start challenging at OUFC. Perhaps the GK coaching staff feel that Stevens has more potential and is 5 years younger.
Best of luck to Max though at Carlisle and hope he gets his chance in league football.

Max hasn't improved as much as he should of. That is down to Max himself and I just hope for his sake he learns to take on board constructive feedback so he can progress.
From Curle's interview it sounds like even he thinks Max has a lot of work to do.

As somebody above suggested I wonder if the management reckon that Stevens has more promise.

I have worked with a lot of coaches who know people at the club especially goal keeping coaches and they all say the same about Max. That's why I also know Clarkey's ego got a big too big for some the staff's liking.

A bit harsh. I thought slashing got you two minutes in the sin-bin. Sorry wrong sport - that's ice hockey.
87th minute as well - taking the p*ss for taking a p*ss!
I know he left us because he wanted to be a number 1, and then he goes and does a number 1!

A spectator made a formal complaint and the incident was reported to the police. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41790381Apparently the red card was for (re) leaving the pitch without the refs permission.

A ref can only issue a yellow card for leaving the field of play without permission. Maybe he already had a yellow from earlier in the game.
