Roy has finally done what he has threatened in his career to do. The NZ attack are looking very ordinary indeed.

That was as comfortable as any England sporting teams semi finals will ever be, very enjoyable. Shame about the timing of the final, be an empty ground as every Indian will be watching the JPT final.

Course when England previously won the World t20, Alfie was steering in the third against York at about the same time. If that's not a glorious omen for a double victory on Sunday, I don't know what is!

They kept saying we had won it before, that week is a bit of a blur to me but I think i remember finding out about it on a Tuesday while nursing a collosal hangover and skiving off work. But let's hope so.

If that's not a glorious omen for a double victory on Sunday, I don't know what is! After years of watching us choke in finals, we finally win one when I can't watch as Oxford were winning promotion. Now we have a chance of winning our second international tournament, and I am going to miss it again as Oxford are at Wembley again... Here's to double celebration Sunday night

There is a sense of confluence about Sunday. Last JPT final, England in the Twenty20 final and OUFC at Wembley. We're bound to lose both badly.........

Lets see how England get on today. I do think the Windies are far too cocky and think they have won it. It should be some added motivation for England

2010 - Oxford Wembley win and England T20 win.
2016 - Oxford Wembley defeat and England T20 defeat.
A plum of a day ...

Good to see the Cricketing Summer start today but a shame to see England having to rely on the middle order (Bairstow) having bail out the top order again (except Hales).
Bairstow is in the form of his life, this is going to be a prolific summer for him I reckon.

A pretty poor start from England. Didn't really get going it seems until Bairstow batted with Hales.

A better day from England today but largely because of Bairstow's century and Hales innings. The rest were pretty poor batting.
They are 12-3.
The BBC text commentary now has mini highlights in which is pretty good for those at work

Who'd've thunk it. Sri Lanka following on. I have to turn TMS off now due to Boycott.

Given that Sri Lanka's batting lineup has minimal experience of English conditions - and we had two all-time greats in Anderson & Broad hooping them about in the Headingley gloom - 91's actually a few more than I thought they'd get!

I felt a bit sorry for the Sri Lankans really. An inexperienced line up, sent straight to cold and dark Leeds, with Anderson, Broad, Stokes and Finn roaring in at them! Any bets on whether those who have tickets for the Sunday will be getting a refund?

I can see England wrapping this up before close tomorrow, the incentive of a Saturday night out in Leeds will spur them on!

Funnily enough,8 of this team played in the game at Headingley 2 years ago that Sri Lanka won . But i take your point,no team in the world wouldn't be affected by the loss of Jaywardene and Sangakarra

I see the English batsmen are trying very hard to make sure that they manage a good old-fashioned batting calamity against some pretty average bowling on a flat wicket. Caught trying to slog for six, leaving a ball that hits the wicket ... brilliant.

Wonder if that might be it for Compton?
Current England management are excellent at giving everyone a run to establish themselves in the team.
But it's looking like six bad Tests in a row for him since the first in South Africa. Feels like time to try someone else to me.......
Thank goodness Bairstow has become an absolute monster.

No give him the rest of the summer. Please don't send him back to Middlesex!!! And keep Finn in the test side as well...

I think Compton is toast now. He just looks so far out of form.
There was talk the other day of Robson, Bell-Drummond or Wheater coming in at 3. I'm not that convinced about Vince either. Seems like a poor mans John Crawley.

The fact he was talked about in the same group as Bell-Drummond shows that he has done something right this season. That position is there for the taking
