I'm totally shocked. I didnt even know Jack was ill. I didnt know him to well, but he was with us on our first trip to Scotland and I chatted to him on Facebook from time to time a while back. I'm very sad to hear this news, and my genuine thoughts are with his friends and family.

There was a charity function by his family, it was the Ox Mail, quite a while ago, donations went to Clic Sargent, if any one's interested.

Just had to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Jack, this terrible news brings us all down to earth and even if we didn't know him personally it's very sad.
RIP Jack.

I was discussing with Jacks mum and dad.... how ironic life can be sometimes. A few weeks ago Jack went to Devon for a few days holiday. Whilst in Devon he was taken seriously ill and was rushed to Derriford hospital in Plymouth for an emergency operation. At that time they undoubtedly saved Jacks life and got him stable enough to be transferred back to Oxford. And the next home game is against............ Mins applause at that game.... please OUFC

R.I.P Jack from a fellow football supporter on the other side of the world.
Far too early for someone to pass, but it sounds like your love of your club gave you many highs in your life. Puts football into perspective.
Gills fan.

Like many fans on here I didn't know Jack but saw him at many games over the year. From all the tributes I have read about Jack his family should be very very proud of him so my thoughts go out to all Jacks family and friends in what will be a difficult day tomorrow. RIP Jack xx

Cant get a minutes applause before the game which is a shame I know there are a few out there who couldnt get there Thursday,so now is your time to say your goodbye's... Also Tim in the Priory has agreed that we can all raise a drink for Jack to,so hope we can all be there... R.I.P Mate xx

Why can't we have a minutes applause for Jack? Myself and a lot of other fans won't be in the ground for 7.30pm due to work, meeting mates at the pub etc, so only 2,000 or so will in the ground at that time, so I'm not sure that's the right time to do something. I couldn't make the funeral as I had my son, but would like to pay my respects to Jack in the form of a minutes applause at a home game soon. So I hope that can be arranged. I don't understand why it can't happen Tuesday.
