I was in that conga with you! And incidentally, Look North's report on the game afterwards had videos of the Mexican wave being carried on in our block (quote "even the Oxford fans managed to get into the party atmosphere"). It was only me, my dad and a few others so I guess you were on telly as well. Long before the days of SkyPlus though and we only came to know about it because my grandpa was watching. We also got many beers bought for us by the Mackems afterwards. Great day, apart from the result. U had very firm hands if my hips remember rightly Probably my dad, I was but a spotty youth of 17...

Best of luck to him. I'm sure he will need it after their 8-0 reverse on Saturday. Gary Waddock would like a chance there as would Dave Hockaday

There is a very real chance that all 3 relegated Championship teams this season will have been playing in the Premier League since 2011.

Massive body blow for Burton Albion. I said at the beginning of the season, that their season depends on whether they can hang on to the biggest asset ie Rowett. I think they may start to slide down the table a bit now.
As for Rowett, he speaks very well, and always polite and honest to the media, and even when his side loses he's dignified in defeat. Good luck to him, he will need it, as B'ham is in a right mess so it will be a challenge.

He might not be honest there. Mind you he's got a good knowledge of League Two. But why would Rowett jump ship to Oxford with his track record. I'm sure he was being tracked by bigger clubs than us

I'm sure he was being tracked by bigger clubs than us He was and has been, hence why he's now managing in the Championship. This naïvety is why we took two months to get Gary Waddock.

Rowett did very well at Burton no doubt- although his success was based on a very solid defence and not conceding many.
He deserves a chance higher up but I am not sure that Birmingham is a great move. They seem like a club in chaos. I guess his best bet is to keep them up this season and hope for a takeover and more money being available.
I suspect that he will improve their defence if nothing else!

Danny Hylton was a masterstroke. The manager who brought him in shouldn't have taken two months to be brought in himself though, should he?
