I dont think it was on in the first place was it? Appleton said he hadnt spoken to anyone about Gillet. I guess he hasnt told the whole truth before so it may be a smoke screen of course. It is this type of player (position, attributes) that you think we need.

my nephew is one of gillets best mates , (they played in the same thame utd team as kids for 4/5 years) SG's dad brought him to the wolves game JUST to see a game because he was visiting his parents in thame , someone saw him and added 2 + 2 and got 5 !

But (I am not necessarily saying it's you) it really pisses me off when most posters come on within a heart beat of an ex-player scoring, to broadcast this, and often comes across as yet another opportunity for them to bash the club, and I've really had it with that knee-jerk kind of negativity. "shouldn't have let him go" ad nauseam... Too many people live in the past, and think it was all golden when we had .......... Things change, and football is a very very different beast to what it was 5, 10, 20 and 30 years ago.
