Still nothing forthcoming as to KKK's true identity, but I'll confess. I was Mr Stoutpile, Triptolemus, Strumpet Oil and Miles Trotup. I would have been Mustier Plot and Toilet Rumps, but those names were not considered "appropriate". I registered as a way to find out more about the workings of the noticeboard system they used and the infastructure underpinning it. Initially, my posts were just to see if I could get some traceable information into their database, but I did gain rapport with some of the posters. Yes there were those on there that were only interested in one topic, but there were a smattering of persons that could post without constantly harping on about you know what and those that had good and relevant points to raise - I hope I responded to each person in a manner appropriate to their own individual preferences whoever I was masquerading as and I apologise if any YV posters feel offended by my subterfuge. I'll miss it a little - but not those damned overlong and verbose match reports which were only started as a repost to Sertinchance (Who he?) and his ultra-negative match reviews. Just a few unresolved points. 1) Why those usernames? Simple really, they are all anagrams of "multiposter". I tried to make it easy for the YV mods to kick me out, but I assume with all their stringent checks that they got the joke and let me carry on.... 2) Should I out KKK. He knows the extensive research I put into tracking YV users; it seems a pity to waste it..... 3) Why was my application under the name of OwnUpOwen not processed Damn! Should have recognised the prose style. I really thought you were Yellow River. Well done, I thoroughly enjoyed your posts on YV, but did you notice that despite your fairly restrained style and reasonable content, some of the bitterati on there took against you for not towing the company line? I had a succession of usernames on YV, each banned in turn for not very much. And I'll out myself as KKK (thanks for keeping the secret!), as well as YellowHood in the last few days. Junior got it right! "OwnUpOwen"! Can't imagine why that wasn't processed! So Sirtinchance (Mazz) loses another home. Keep your eyes peeled, now CW has gone he's turned attention to Lewis and will make another attempt to join here, I'm sure.

I did lump you in with Mr5Co at one time Finlandia, for which I apologised. For the record, I've never considered you one of the 10-12 bitterati on YV.

Go on then, I'll confess. I was: 1. I am Bicesteryellow - Testing the waters, and seeing the niceness of the PM function 2. Nostalgia - Operated with gofish, tried to reason with the mods and was banned 3. Weneedtogetreal - Boredom, forum critique, but was nice to Ken 4. Barry - Full name Barry Yeates, I too went for the obvious route, after the acronym "BY" was attributed to me. The location was the longitude and Latitude of Bicester, and every day until 2025 was designated as "Barry Day", where Barry is celebrated

Just posted, message from one of the Moderators on Yellow Voice... Let's be very clear on why this decision was made. We have absolutely no fear of legal action being taken against Yellowvoice or indeed any of our members. The founders of this site have taken advice from a number of people who work in the legal profession and they find the threats both laughable and childish in the extreme. The decision to close the site involved a number of factors which were discussed in depth, including the amount of work involved to ensure that the standards we set were adhered too.
There have been accusations that the closure of the site was caused by a handful of Yellowvoice members, this is not the case and they were never considered when making the final decision. The facts speak for themselves and is there for all to see. Recent decisions taken by a number of parties which has shown total disrespect towards a number of dedicated supporters along with the total lack of respect for the wider fan base. When these are highlighted by individuals they are vilified and threatened with legal action, why? Taking a whole number of issues into consideration, it was felt that although Yellowvoice was successful, we had simply had enough of the whole saga of supporting an independent, advert free forum. With regard to the usual protagonists who pour scorn on this action, in the friendliest possible way, may we remind them that a little knowledge is dangerous. Yeah Must of been hard keeping them that low

Anyone who takes an interest in these things must surely have realised that YH was KKK Anyway YV has now gone, it doesn't surprise me, it would appear that the people behind YV panicked when it looked like it might be made public who they actually were, it could have been quite embarrassing for business associates..... I actually think that there probably was/is room for a third OUFC forum, sadly however the owners /moderators of YV made a complete pig's ear of it, the final closing down statement says it all really, full of arrogance, bitterness, spin and bluster. Time to move on.

Everyone on there seemed to take life far too seriously! Lots of Walter Mitty/chairman of the chairmans committee types who seemed to have too much time on their hands and got worked up about everything very quickly. They also seemed slightly nutty.
Hope they don't come on here.

It would be interesting to see how they fare, with their opinions, when exposed to a far wider audience than their little tufty club on YV. Not holding my breath though............

Not holding my breath though............ I thought the reason they set up YV was so many of them had been banned from here or the OxVox forum, or as suggested above, they wanted a forum where there was no danger of their real identities ever being revealed, to the embarrassment of their companies, business associates or employers. I doubt VoteNo would be allowed back on here.

I actually looked up Triptolemus on Google and discovered that he was a figure in Greek mythology.
Pure coincidence?

Can we have ' Yellow Voice ' next to their user names if they come on here?
That way we'll know that they're likely to over analyse everything, take things far too seriously and start wordy arguments in an attempt to prove that they are the most intelligent OUFC fan of all so we can steer well clear.

Lodey - I'm glad to count you as one of the best posters on the old YV and at least there is no doubting who you are. Thank you for putting up with all of me while it lasted.
As for Triptolemus, well that was (stand by for word number three not often found on football forums) serendipity at it's most eloquent. I think I'll find a use for the name elsewhere on t'Internet rather than let it fall back into the realms of fable, I kinda like it now.
I am curious though that no sooner had I registered up and posted with that username on YV, then the name Telephus appears on here. Two Greek mythological figures in such a short space of time? Wosgoinon?

I can honestly say I've never looked at any pictures of young girls on the DM site, or indeed any of the show business coverage.
I enjoy reading some of the political commentary articles. Although I'm fairly left-wing in much of my political outlook, I must admit that I often find Richard Littlejohn's columns amusing.

Reading the 'comments' on a story on the Daily Mail site and then reading the 'comments' on the same story on the Guardian website is interesting. Poles apart is the phrase that springs to mind.

Many of the comments on the Mail site aren't very complimemtary about Poles ... or Romanians, Bulgarians and so on. (Incidentally, as on Yellow Voice, I've chosen Herman van Rompuy, President of the EU Council, as my avatar because one of our supporters once said I look like him. It was either him or Mr Burns.) Edit: Thanks, Maurice. I submitted my post before seeing yours.

It seems like you were one of the more sensible contributors and it wasn't simply because you hated Senett etc (it seemed like that with some people) that you formed your opinions which at least you could articulate. Surely this should be the forum for genuine debate and there are various different views of people on here?

Surely this should be the forum for genuine debate and there are various different views of people on here? Quite. Anyone who spent any time on YV knew who the bitteratis were. They were the limited agenda brigade who, just as a sop to OUFC affiliation, occasionally mentioned an Oxford match, but spent most of their time smashing the OxVox committee, Ian Lenagan's tenure and, latterly, Yellow Army. There were also some less restricted posters on there, like Lodie, SuperUs, NRosluke and Voice of Reason. No reason why Lodie shouldn't comment on OxVox. I'm sure it will be done in a restrained and thoughtful way, rather than with the bitterness and resentment exhibited by the few on YV.
