I haven't seen us bother the vidiprinter this afternoon and I can't see us doing it. Southend have been a bogey side for us for ages now.
The home form does really need some closer analysis.

Not all doom and gloom We started the day 5 pts behind the leaders - and still are. Just slipped a couple of places.
We will win at home - one day.

Lenegan isn't there to see this scrambles as he's at Old Trafford watching his main interest play another rubgy league final, which is always the case when things go wrong at the kass shit stadium

Haven't got YP or RadOx, but was the second half as bad as the first - seemed like we were creating loads of chances and corners ?

Bad day at the office but there is still 36 games to go and teams around us dropped points too. Although our home form is slightly confusing.

Since coming back into the League, our record against Southend reads W1 D1 L7. The draw was a JPT team we eventually went on to lose on penalties as well!
A bogey side who I am sick of the sight of.

Rubbish - felt like we were playing without a midfield today. 2-0 flattered us, Southend were shocking up front, wasted a hat ful

Home form has always been crap since we moved to Kassam stad in old manor days we would be clear at top far better ground for support as Kassam ground is and always been LIFELESS..Probably play better using Oxford C ground.....

I'm not sure I'd lump this in with our other poor performances at home this season. It was terrible in its own way.
The usual marks our our displays as the Kasstad - possession without creating chances, a lack of opportunities, nervy defending - weren't there. Instead we had a strong defence but terrible distribution and a missing midfield.
I'm not quite sure what point I'm trying to make with this. Except perhaps that talk of our terrible record at home masks the real worries about today's performance.

Just got back, what a poor game, we just didn't turn up. We gave to much respect to southend, Hall was poor, Clarke was fab as usual, COD I thought played well. Why take off smalley? he should of stayed on and beano should have been brought on at the start of the second half to replace kitson. The home form has to be dealt with quickly, we are supposed to be the home side. I hope Jake wright comes back soon, we need him.

A feeble display today - especially the first half, which was laughable. We have apparently never heard the phrase 'pass and move', keeping the ball on the floor has been outlawed and all opposition players have a four foot force field around them that not only stops our players tackling, it also stops our players getting close enough to stop them trapping the ball, turning at will and picking out any one of a number of team mates who have actually had the intelligence to move into a bit of space.
Hoofing the ball up front to an increasingly frustrated Kitson wasn't working, so we kept on doing it. The formation wasn't working so Wilder didn't change it and the players weren't up to it so he left it an hour before making a change - and when he did he just changed like for like, giving Southend nothing to try and counter.
And it's all so bloody slllooooowwwwww.
We may be fourth in the table, but if our home performances don't improve rapidly and hugely we won't make the playoffs this year.

We didn't adjust in the first half. Corr was given too much respect and bullied his way around the pitch. Once we got physical with him, he disappeared from the game. Raynes had a good game today.
The holding player they had meant we had zero ball retention up front. They are a long ball team who play a certain way. You can't pass it when the players get no time on the ball. We did that last year and team got crucified for it. Their CBs were dodgy as hell but got the right protection so we didn't get into them too much.
Potter may as well have stayed in the dressing room for all the good he was. Dreadful today. We could have had Davies out there and gained more than Potter.
As for the Ref. Spend less time in the gym looking like a Gorilla and learn how to apply the rules consistently.
