Thought it was about time I started a match day thread again.
Despited a depleted team this must be a winnable match. 0-2 to the mighty Yellows, Rigg and Potter the scorers.
And although I'm pleased to see beano back on the bench I hope he's not neede as it does seem a bit rushed to me.
COME ON YOU YELLOWS

I withhold judgment until I see who's fit to play!. I do hope he doesn't do his usual thing and put Potter up front with Smalley (assuming HE'S fit to play!!!). It doesn't work!

Can see a defeat today unfortunately . Squad utterly threadbare.

I withhold judgment until I see who's fit to play!. I do hope he doesn't do his usual thing and put Potter up front with Smalley (assuming HE'S fit to play!!!). It doesn't work! Funnily enough, it did away at Gillingham last year. I'm expecting a similar backs-to-the-wall performance today although even with our depleted squad that's a negative approach to take. Hartlepool are nothing special at all and won't be challenging for promotion, so we should be going for the jugular against them today. CW will be probably be aiming for a point instead and we'll come unstuck and lose 0-1 with a goal for them in the last 10 minutes or something.

Got the feeling Rigg may play a more central role in attack to feed off Smalley, not so pessimistic as some because although there's half a dozen players out- there's still options open to CW and the opposition are no great shakes. I back us to continue our impressive away record.
H'pool 1 U's 3.

As this is only the officiel thread, is someone going to start an official one? Do predictions on this one not count? I think that despite all of our injury and suspension problems we'll play brilliantly and win easily and I'll be able to avoid feasting on my nails.

I can see it being a good afternoon. For that bloke on Sky Sport News who is a hard core 'Pools supporter.

I see Morsey has been booked for Chesterfield. How surprising! One week too late! Beano on the bench, same as Marsh.

Perhaps we've decided that draws aren't enough, perhaps Hartlepool are vulnerable to width.
Anyway COYY!

Afternoon all. Lets see how they cope with the injury mess we are in. The midfield has to perform well today with plenty of support to the front two and maybe Rigg will get a screamer to win it for the Yellows.

An all-round team performance will do me hopefully a win. Would like to see Smalley score use the wingers as wingers there is no reason why we cant pick up 3 points, but this is also a potential banana skin so hopefully we can be solid and perform well and et a good result

Gary Roberts sent off for Chesterfield - straight red and the Spirites lose their unbeaten record with a 1-0 home defeat. Sounds familiar?
