Wonder who will replace him on a regular basis, Redknapp to be Skys new main man.

But would he still keep doing GSS if he got that gig?
GSS without Stelling is a no go!

It needs to be someone with the skills to analyse the football. Jeff is the man for Keys job when that comes up!
Jamie Redknapp is as good as any pundet on TV so give it him. Needs to be someone young anyway thats for sure.

didn't think Sky would have the balls to sack him! I thought it was obvious he would go, they'd get much more stick if they kept him on. There are so many sponsorship deals and other companies associated with the premiership brand who could easily take offence by this and end their association. Sky don't want to be labelled as institutionally sexist

I'm delighted by this. I hope they get someone in who can fairly analyse games and give a balanced view on decisions instead of crucifying people after the 4th super slow mo replay from his high horse.
I've been sick of Gray and his shite for a while, I stopped watching pre and post match because of him and his miserable outlook on football.
The only trouble is I'm sure sky will still want whoever replaces him to be the same, controversy sells.

I think it's a mountain out of a molehill. They weren't on air and were only saying what 90% of males would have been saying/thinking.
She demonstrated she was up for the job, making them look like tw@ts in the process.

Please god no! I personally can't stand the little golden boy. Arrogant sh**e who loves the sound of his own voice. I think that's a bit harsh. Redknapp is thick as fudge but he comes accross as pretty genuine to me. Not that i'm his biggest fan but he would be an improvement on Gray. Personally i'm surprised sky have taken this step. To me keys was the bigger culprit and i'd have thought it's be easier to get shut of him rather than their main commentator. EDIT: so it turns out that some other comment made by Gray has come to light and that has resulted in his losing his job.

This decision is about 15 years late, but still brilliant.

Did he get sacked because he refused to apologise? Must have plenty of money if he can afford to lose his £1.3 million a year job because he is unwilling to give an insincere apology. Will probably be on talksport by the weekend though. Hope they replace him with Steve Claridge, wont have to listen to his shite on the football league show then.

FFS talk about making a mountain out of a molehill If you took 100 women off the street at random and asked them about the offside rule i reckon 99% wouldnt have a clue. If you asked 100 random males the same question at a guess about 90% would know most of it but 20 to 30% would be well versed on the subject

I had a laugh this morning when I saw Kenny Dalglish asking the press conference if they were happy for the woman journalist to be in the room. He then said "you're ok pet", he might has well have said love and be done with it.

If you asked 100 random males the same question at a guess about 90% would know most of it but 20 to 30% would be well versed on the subject What a load of rubbish. The issue isn't that there are lots of women who wouldn't know the offside rule, that's irrelevant and the woman in this instance knew the offside rule better than most people by giving a decision which i imagine a number of male assistants would have got wrong. At the end of the day though, even that is irrelevant, the issue is that Gray made comments which were totally unacceptable, and for which he apparently has form, and he has paid the penalty.

I doubt she could understand him anyway, I cant. It is an overreaction but if I was on what andy gray was for chatting bollocks about football then I would of just given a b*llshit apology I didnt mean and then made sure the mikes were off in future. Reckon they wanted rid of him anyways and this was their chance.

To fill Grays bra they would have to be a size, he looked liked he had a fair old pair of moobs on him.

Without sounding too much like a chip-on-shoulder misanthrope, hopefully it weakens Sky and in turn, by some small measure, the Premier League.
