Not really much of a news story. Australians have never just been able to stay here indefinately and they are equally tough on us (if not tougher)

What exactly is the problem? Her working visa is due to expire, and Australia isn't the sort of country that is likely to torture or execute her.
When you come over here on a working visa, it does have a limited time on it, and it's up to the powers that be whether it gets extended or not.

As long as you are in a skilled job and its a profession in demand in Australia, then you have a chance. What do you do for a living, Danny?
I'm not sure knowing a couple of Sheilas gets you through the points test!
and Australia has plenty of problems of its own. Better weather yes (although even that is debatable given recent events), but aside from that you will find exactly the same problems there as here.

So how come Albanians are allowed to stay indefinatley? What makes you think they are? Unless they are doing 'in demand jobs' or married to someone from the EU.

They might be beat her with a digereedoo and force her to drink Castlemaine XXXX (worst lager ever produced)

Just on another thread you stated that the British people have never been asked about those immigrating to this country. Bizarre that somebody who appears to be so against immigrants is becoming one! Hypocrisy and ignorance are two words that spring to mind!

About 70% of Australians have Anglo/Celtic ethnicity but hey whats in 20%. How about the indiginous Australians, were they ever asked? Yes, you will be an immigrant to Australia, hard for you to comprehend but true. dannyc=immigrant=oxymoron!
