Doyle is great at holding the ball up for someone who's not that big.
If Wolves go down this season, he'll stay in the Prem. He's too good for the Championship.

Out of character for giggs to kick someone off the ball. I think that's what saved him? Or the ref just didn't see it.

Why was Nolan not red carded for what he did to the keeper? No different to the Diaby reaction to a nasty foul from the venomous Barton. hd the ref dealt with bartons earlier fouls one imagines it may not have escalated as it did

Second penalty wasn't a penalty Seems like Phil Dowd bowed to the famous toon army.

It annoys me when the other team try to get the ball back, its not their ball to get back.

Im pretty sure Phil Dowd would have let them take the kick off.
Two decent goals from both sides chalked out too

definitely a very soft second penalty, couldnt see a foul there. Van persie was definitely offside for that one that got disallowed, you cant argue with camera footage. Best wasnt offside for that one he stuck in and saw it chalked off.
anyone who thinks barton should have even been booked for that challenge seriously does not know a single thing about the game - one footed, never left the floor and played the ball. I thought it was a tremendous tackle.
the arsenal player had to go but i would say nolan was lucky to stay on for raising his arm to the keeper. that didnt look much better than anything diaby did.
all in all a great game and with decisions wrong on both sides a draw was the fair result.

that was a fair challenge by Barton.
There was one on Arshavin in the first half that was quite simply shocking and not even a free kick was awarded. Thats how Dowd started to create a problem. He then let a couple more fouls go without clamping down.

Nolan should have gone for the 'attack' on the keeper. As Followtheox says, why should they try and get the ball back. It's Arsenal's kick off. The keeper should not have been booked. He did absolutely nothing wrong.
If Nolan had been sent off then would Newcastle have completed the comeback?

Had that been allowed perhaps we'd be looking at a 5-4 Newcastle win.

Had that been allowed perhaps we'd be looking at a 5-4 Newcastle win. It's all hypothetical. I was just posing the question. They had just made it 1-4 when Nolan should have been sent off. If he had been sent off then what followed would have followed a different path, Newcastle may have scored 6 or 7, or not. As I say it's all hypothetical. If Nolan had been sent off then Van Persie may have been in an onside position, so 5-5. It's all suposition. The only thing I think we can agree on is that Nolan should have been sent off.
