Im prepared to get slated here....but James Blunt new album is actually genuinely enjoyable.
other than that I've just got to go with the answer I always give...Arcade Fire, the libertines and Death Cab for Cutie

Probably get slated but Thirty Seconds to Mars and their 'This is War' album Nope, as said on the old forum, 30 Seconds are class! Closer to the Edge must be one of best tracks have heard for a long time. I know its a commericial track, but along with the video, its class. King and Queens also very good From Yesterday live is also good.

I do like AVB, listen to all the ASOT's but when AVB played here in HK, he didnt do his normal stuff, played a lot harder stuff which I didnt like. A nice tune is Ace Da Brain "Magic Waters"

King and Queens also very good. I strongly dislike that track, it is what I consider to be mainstream American kid music for 'EMO' followers. The video is the biggest collection of cliches I have seen for ages... But hey, what do I know I have had half a listen to the new White Lies album, and am hoping for the Chapel Club disc to arrive shortly.

Yeah, I agree but.... some of us do like mainstream music, like 30 Seconds, Coldplay, The Killer's etc. And f*ck me, I didnt even realise Take That had got back together. And from what I hear they are bigger than they ever were. (Am not saying I like them though)

More just an observation from my point of Indie kid (the more miserable the better )
