Hoo- bloody - Ray! I can appreciate commercial broadcasters picking Man U for advertising revenue but the BBC have no reason not to air games like Hereford/Fleetwood v Leicester.

Seems like - unlike previous years - they may be a little hard done by this time around!
There's no way that Brighton vs. Crystal Palace would be shown in a normal year, but it sounds like they need a guinea pig for video-assisted replay, and don't want to pick a high profile game that anyone's actually going to watch!

You are the one person who I usually agree the most with on here, so is this fishing for a whoosh? Among their fans it's probably the biggest game going, certainly on a par with us and Swindon... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brighton%E2%80%93Crystal_Palace_rivalryIt is a good game to trial VAR out though...bit of niggle and so on.

Brighton v Palace is a meaty game that is well worth showing!

They. Aren't. Showing. Man U? I blame Donald Trump or Russia for this outrage.

OK, I will admit that I had completely forgotten that they were bitter rivals. Suitably chastened. Still, even given that rivalry.....it's something that's only really important to the two sets of fans, and a big chunk of them will actually be at the game. I'd wager that the viewing figures (as would the case be if it was Oxford vs. Swindon) will be much less than if it were Man U vs. Derby; two small Premiership sides going head-to-head isn't going to bring in the casual armchair fans, however much they hate one another.

I would suggest that the casual armchair fan would not be that interested in either of those games
At least this time they selected a couple of games at Shrewsbury and Hereford/Fleetwood that are what the cup is about.
