How should the league organise mid week fixtures? There are complaints when the fans have to travel a long way to an away game on a Tuesday night, but then if it is a relatively local game, where a lot of fans may go if it was a Saturday game they might not bother travelling mid week. Last night Blackburn played at Blackpool (only 30 miles) and the crowd was 5,302 (Our gate there was reported as 5,274). Surely with the run Blackburn are on, if it was a Saturday they would have taken 4-5,000. But it appears last night they probably only took 2,000. So whilst fans want to avoid long journeys mid week it also appears by scheduling local games mid week they are losing out on considerable away following. Probably can't win either way.

Don't know all the facts about the Blackburn/Blackpool game but the attendance would of been effected by the Blackpool fan boycott. Blackburn have been travelling very well this season to local games and the 2000 I think could of been more to do with tickets allocated. Personally like midweek games but think they should be scheduled nearer the beginning and end of the season. Also bomb off the reserve team cup which adds unnecessary mid week games.

Why do we have no more tue home games all season ? Got to be a record low this year surely Tuesday 16th of January home to Chelsea U21s in the Checkatrade trophy,Southern Section quarter final I see Bury and Pompey are both playing their next round games on Saturday. On a slightly different tack,i seem to remember Charlie earlier in the season, giving the amount of cup games we played last season,as a reason why we didn't finish higher in the league and how getting knocked out of cups early would actually be a good thing financially,as we would be pushing for promotion and the crowds would be flocking to the breeze block
